I don't give a shit what Eloy wants. I'm not trading AV just to make room for him. AV belongs at 1B/DH. Eloy can't stay healthy even if he plays DH because he gets hurt running the bases and swinging the bat.

I agree but I wouldn't trade AV to make room for Eloy who's likely to spend a lot of time on the IL even if he's the DH. Plus, he doesn't even want to DH - who knows if he'll sulk if forced to DH.

If he's subbing .600 at this point next year it better not be as the Sox starting 3B.

DH will not keep Eloy healthy. He gets hurt running the bases. He gets hurt swinging the bat. If they can't trade him might as well just keep him in LF and have a good backup LFer for when he's on the IL.

Let them alternate 60/40 Vaughn/Abreu at 1B with the other at DH.

Yeah. One of the things about this team is even when they win they play a pretty crappy brand of baseball. Sloppy defense, players out of position, mental errors, base running blunders, bad manager decisions, poor situational hitting. It's hard to enjoy watching this team. It seems there have only been a handful of truly satisfying wins this season. I doubt if this team has it in them to go deep in the playoffs even if they somehow make it, but if they do get hot in October and go all the way I'll certainly take it.

I hope the fans stop supporting this organization with their hard earned dollars until JR loses so much money it's not worthwhile anymore. Maybe Arte Moreno could buy the Sox then.
