  1. Yes. With the muscle injury in the leg after he came back. His legs may need some time to rest and slowly work back into game shape.
  2. True. However it makes sense to have him DH some due to that separate issue. I'm sure they will have Robert do the same thing if something new pops up from lack of playing time.
  3. You do remember Eloy is coming off a leg injury. He needs some rest to be sure it doesn't happen again as well. Not saying it has to be today but he dies need to break in slowly so there isn't a repeat.7
  4. He has never aged thus many games in a season in his life. He hasn't experienced a full season as the veterans. It's just as much a mental marathon as physical. With a huge lead why push it.
  5. Do you know where this difference is coming from? It would be interesting as most sports have men and women separate except for things like fencing and Equestrian and in those the women beat the men in qualifying for the team.
  6. The most stunning were the 400m hurdles with 22 year old McLaughlin getting gold with a world record and Muhammad getting silver. Also 19 year old Mu getting Gold in the 800 (saw her at an NCAA meeting this year). Imagine what she'll do without a full NCAA season to deal with. Then these three with Felix blew everyone away and in the 4×4. USATF is in good hands for the next couple of Olympics.
  7. He played 55 games there.
  8. He was +4000 before the season started on Points Bet
  9. Or maybe they knew he was ready and could handle it.
  10. It is a great city. Been to a few there. Be sure to hit the hockey HOF too.
  11. He shouldn't now. Make sure the regulars get rest. Garcia will get his rest in the playoffs unless (gulp) more injuries occur.
  12. Oh yeah. Lots of issue with a Sunday lineup after 2 straight wins.
  13. Right but most place wouldn't have a 1:20 game on Friday and Saturday leading up to it.
  14. Only at Wrigley will there be start times of Friday 1:20, Saturday 1:20 and Sunday 6:10. So backwards.
  15. They are pitching Kopech on back to back days which is essentially the same thing. Crochet was not going to be stretched this year. Next year is his year to get stretched out.
  16. The men's track only getting 1 gold is a massive upset and disappointment.
  17. They are friends from European racing circuit and wanted Europe to get 2 medals. It was awesome to watch. I was surprised he continued to do it even with 800 left .
  18. Not too long, 100 innings or so. I'm not saying don't resign him at all. But he is more of an injury risk than Giolito and I don't know if I would agree to a long term deal.
  19. Anytime there is a debridement in the shoulder there is a significant degeneration of tissue and a good chance of decreased stability. He has pitched maybe 100 innings since that surgery?? I wouldn't classify that as in the rearview mirror. Even though both the should and elbow have been "repaired" he is still much more likely to have further issues than most pitchers.
  20. The number 1 predictor for injuries is previous injuries. Rodon has had surgeries the both his shoulder and elbow. He has already pitched far more innings than the last 2 years combined.. He also has Boras for an agent.
  21. Rodon is a huge injury risk however. Giolito is a better bet. The greatest ability is availability.
  22. To rest the real players for the a playoffs.
  23. Serves him right for that strike zone.
  24. Of he hits an HR you know it's cursed
