  1. Quantrill is not a bad pitcher. But your point over the last few weeks is still valid.
  2. This is the primary issue right now. Best players need to be the best players.
  3. As Steve Kerr once said"80% of slow is still slow."
  4. It could change his speed but that really wasn't his game anyway.
  5. Good thing this isn't really their team then. It will drastically different in a couple of weeks.
  6. with the MLB ready players they acquired, I'm not sure there will be a tank for more than this year.
  7. I'm glad Katz has changed his stance if treating this year like a normal year. Don't know who got to him but it's a good thing.
  8. They said on the broadcast the Kopech hadn't pitched in 3 days.
  9. It's 2 hours before game time.
  10. With the innings, remember that last year was a down year for all pitchers. Even though they have done it in the past, we have no clue if that decrease last year will tire them out earlier this year. I know Katz said he is not going to treat his pitchers differently this year but it may be wise to pitch all of them under their norms to be sure they are rested and effective for the post season. Treat them carefully as it is looking like they are the strength if this team. If the pitchers wear down for the post season this team will be toast.
  11. 3 more are coming.
  12. That's being specific. There are roughly 30 bones in the foot (if you include tiny ones) and untold number of ligaments which are connected to said bones.
  13. They sent out a notice saying certain lots were going to be prepaid only similar to previous years.
  14. Enjoyed watching him play because of the drastically different style. Was nice to have the good OBP at the bottom of the lineup.
  15. In today's game with starters going fewer innings, the importance of a deep bullpen has significantly increased.
  16. Relievers with an extra year always cost more than a rental player at the deadline.
  17. Never. I turn the radio off when that jingle comes on.
  18. Gong to miss Nicky 2 strikes. He was good for this lineup.
  19. They would have limited his running in the early phases of rehab as you can't run without moving your arm unless you want to cause other issues. Game situations are much more intense efforts and require different awkward moves than just straight running.
  20. That's only his A stats. With the A+ also it's 5.6 ERA and 1.33 WHIP.
  21. Have a feeling a phantom IL trip is coming
  22. Isn't that the game that Crede got hit by a pitch but the ump wouldn't give him a base because he didn't try hard enough to get out of the way?
  23. It would seem so, wouldn't it.
  24. Would take care of who to leave off the 40-man when Robert returns.
  25. There is no way they will pay a Boras contract for him. Plus with his far and away crazy innings usage, they shouldn't pay it anyway.
