2022 White Sox Schedule released

Sox are going West

let's hope 162 get played.

Ending the season in San Diego.  That could be fun.

59 game stretch with only 10 division games. Tough May/June.

Edited by flavum

19 of their first 25 games against divisional opponents!

They play all of their games vs. Boston and the Yankees in May - 13 all together.

This makes sense actually and pretty normal.

Next season is just a warm up for the playoffs. The AL Central has given up.

4 games against the Cubs early in the season...2 games at Wrigley, 2 @ home in May.

Looking to plan to see a game on the road in 2022...anyone been to a game in Toronto??

Yes. Toronto reminds me of Chicago.

Is that a good or bad thing for you, Dick? ;)

By the end of June we will be done with Toronto, TB, NYY, and Boston. We will have already played Houston on the road.  The 2nd half of the season is SOFT.

It's a good thing.

Don’t know if it’s all of baseball, but no home stands or road trips that are three series. That’s got to be a Sox first.

I have heard it was a great city but never have been there.  I will happily visit a further North Chicago.  Thanks.

Sox were to play the NL West in 2020 before the schedule was adjusted.

They are likely fortunate to face San Diego the final weekend after playoff seeding has been decided / perhaps one or both teams will be resting their regulars. It's only the second time the Sox have played in San Diego (2005 the other).

While the mathematical odds are 1 in 15 the Sox finish a season with an interleague game, and 1 in 5 they don't finish with an AL Central opponent, discounting the bastardized 2020 60 game lockout schedule (the Sox were originally slated to finish vs. Detroit in 2020), this will be only the third season since the creation of the AL Central in 1994 the Sox are not scheduled to finish against an AL Central opponent (2011 Toronto & 1994 Oakland) and first ever closing against a NL team.

Not sure why they knocked out two of the six Cubs games, but I like it.

Not that I dislike Chicago, but I absolutely LOVE Toronto even more. The people are insanely friendly, the city is very clean, you feel very safe.

If you fly into Billy Bishop airport you can literally walk to Rogers Centre. The CN Tower is right next to the stadium and has breathtaking views. If you are a hockey fan the Hockey Hall of Fame is nearby as well. If you want to fork over the money you can stay in the Marriott which has rooms with field views.

2nd'd.  Toronto is phenomenal.  Plus if you don't want to fly, it is like a 8-9 hour drive from Chicago.

There are a lot of things to do and see and eat and drink and stay close to the ballpark.
And it’s a cool place. Tough to beat for a road trip.

That is actually not a bad drive at all.  I am going to try to visit at least one other stadium a year with my son when the Sox are visiting starting next season.  It might be fun to drive up there...never been to Canada.  Actually on this trip, I bet my wife would like to go as well and I bet she'd like to use our miles to fly.  I will be sure to get great advice from fellow Sox fans before heading to the Great White North.

Also of note, Niagara Falls is a short drive from Toronto.

Toronto sounds like a great place to start our on the road trips.  It sounds like the stadium is set up in a great part of the city for tourists.

Never been there either.  I feel like I am being convinced by the Canadian Tourism board here and I love it!!!

I am a huge fan.  We went on a Windsor/Toronto/Niagara trip for our honeymoon.  It was a great trip, and we loved it.  Stay at the hotel at the ballpark for sure, get a field view room, even if the team isn't in town.

If you want to catch other ballparks, you can catch Detroit on the way if you go the Canadian route, or Cleveland if you come back the toll road.
