    This is the problem that most people have. What worked for us was find ways to force it. Have an automatic transfer from checking to savings each month, Get a 529 that is a monthly bill. Things like that which are just incorporating into a bill like structures

    No kidding. I don't see how people don't realize this. It giving the government free money while losing money yourself. We try to cut it as close as possible. Last year we got a little back, this year we owed a little.

    Just did our taxes. The decrease in our refund is about the same as the decrease in my taxes compared to last year.

  10. I don't see it changing then unless there is a salary floor put in to artificially raise salaries, similar to the arbitration process now.

  16. I would agree this is the best route. Stick to the first decision as long ss possible, if it doesn't happen discuss the adoption. You can't force it either esppecially in light of the type of relationship here.
