  1. He tore the triceps going into the wall and tarp in foul territory by the fans, I believe.
  2. There is so much wrong with this that it doesn't surprise me that it is true.
  3. Ok. My whole discussion was regarding the discussion of JR being ousted if collusion was found.
  4. I guess Harper really doesn't want to go to Philadelphia.
  5. So what collusion is there? JR made an agreement with the Pirates not to spend 250 million? If it's not those teams it's hard to imagine who the Sox need to collude with to keep the price down.
  6. I don't blame the players either. But no one will get ousted because if JR goes down those other owners will be implicated as well.
  7. Raising the mound would change many of those variables, however it would decrease the offense which we know they don't want.
  8. There isn't a possibility of owners being ousted as the owners doing the colluding would need to include the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and Cubs as they are the obvious ones who would be able to afford this type of contract.
  9. She follows the marvel universe obviously, unless she is just really into Norse mythology.
  10. Me too. I am always in the money at the end of the season but rarely win the weekly prize.its been 16 straight years for season total prize money for me.
  11. No doubt. I said back when the Sox acquired Thome, that while I like the trade and he will help the team, I really disliked his style of hitting because it was walk, strikeout or HR. It takes away much of the game.
  12. Going deeper in games doesn't shorten the lifespan on their arms. Throwing with near maximum effort for as long as they can does. The numbers of ulnar collateral injuries has gone up recently not down.
  13. Go back to teaching pitchers to pitch to contact and it solves many of those. Shorter at bats, pitchers going deeper in games, fewer pitching changes. The only issue is that ground balls aren't the guaranteed out that the strikeout is. Thus the new age of baseball, more strike outs but also more walks and more pitches along with shorter outings and more pitchers.
  14. I think part of it was that they were looking at a 4 year rebuild and needed players who were going to be ready in that time frame to help the MLB. If they drafted too many HS players it would extend the initial rebuild. It wouldn't surprise me if they are competitive in two years that you see more high ceiling HS players to get some star players to extend the competitive window.

I did. Ran to make sure it wasn't a water pipe bursting.
  16. There once was a sauce from Nantucket Who thought Mannys contract was in the bucket It turned out to be wrong We all turned to song And now we have decided to say f@#$ it.
  17. He wasn't searching for mechanics until the Nationals tried to change them. He has only been obsessed since others started messing with it. This is one reason that the Sox a d Cooper don't mess with mechanics ala Sale unless something really significant happens.
  18. Closer in time perhaps but maybe not contract terms.
  19. This is not true in the age of fans accepting a rebuild. The Astros went through multiple 100 loss seasons before they tried to improve. They allowed the kids to slowly come to the MLB, then add the pieces to improve.
  20. The world series win was that painful? There isn't a universe series.
  21. I think they are slightly better due to the bullpen acquisitions.
  22. If they do, that's a poor model. Of course, that could explain why so many pitchers are getting hurt the last few years.
  23. An excellent coach. However, he will be a scapegoat at some point.
