  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 01:09 PM) I live in the actual area. New York is not New England The entire sports world is centered around Bristol, Connecticut so it doesn't really matter.
  2. Of the guys currently on the team, I think Mark would be the one I'd most like to have a beer with. AJ comes in at a close second though.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) He missed the list. That's kind of ironic. Thome is one of my favorite players in baseball, but he's a Tribe guy in my mind. I totally respect him.

    QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 09:15 AM) Retirement? Pipe dream
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) And yet, this thread has multiple Dems and independents (I'll include myself here) that find this dispicable. That would seem to indicate your paranoia may be unfounded. Finding it dispicable is the politically correct stance. Ramp it up ten fold if it was Obama. No, I don't believe I'm paranoid not do I believe my statement is unfounded. Have you been reading the over the top Obama love in this forum for months? And believe me, I toned down the question. Over the top is mild compared to what I wanted to say.

  7. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 10:12 AM) Other than the starting pitching, wasnt the Braves dynasty consistently broken up and rebuilt? The only constant in the offense seems to be Chipper Saying 'other than the starting pitching' is like saying other than the Hall of Famers, wasn't the Yankees dynasty consistently broken up and rebuilt.
  8. I can't help but believe that if it was Obama's personal email account that was hacked and made public, this thread would be 10 times longer and filled with indignation about 'dirty Republican tactics".

  13. QUOTE (ptatc @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 01:07 PM) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ makes perfect sense, economically. Week day games are harder to sellout. Sox-Scrubbies will sellout regardless of when its played. Extra money in the pocket!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ You nailed it.
  14. When you lose somebody close, like a parent, spouse or child, you really really appreciate the informality of the wake. People are free to sit with you and talk about about your loved one and commiserate with you. You will hear stories that you never heard before about the person that you loved so deeply. Wakes exist because they help those that need it most.
