2nd Base Problem
I sure hope your gut instincts are wrong. We need this kid to do well.

Dan Wright
I'm glad we have DW as an option for that 5th starter slot. He's really our most proven commidity there.

2nd Base Problem
It's light outside? Oh no! Us vampires can't handle that stuff.

2nd Base Problem
Look at Jose's defensive numbers last yaer and then tell me he wasn't, at the very least, a decent shortstop.

Mike Jackson article.
Hell, Lamar Hoyt is in camp. Give him a shot at the rotation.

Phil Rogers at it again
I thought that was "The Curse of Rocky and Bullwinkle".

What can we expect from our #4 starter?
I don't expect large win totals from our 4 and 5 guys, but the do need consistently decent starts from them. The Sox record for their starts will determine the success or failure of this season. In other words, can they get us through 6 innings and us still be in the game? If they can get us to our bullpen and us not be down more than a couple of runs, then our bats should be able to get those back for us late in the game.

This helps get me "in the mood"...
What? ... BASEBALL MOOD? .... And I just burned a complete CD with nothing but 80 minutes "Centerfield" on it.

Phil Rogers at it again
Rogers is absolutely correct about one thing. Trading Frank Thomas is a VERY risky move. KW better make sure he gets something back that would justify the risk, because that could really really come back to haunt us. Hell, they may be talking about "The Curse of the Big Hurt" 50 years from now.

Looks like Big Frank is staying:
I agree. I think Paulie is going to hit much better this year. I base this on a very reliable and factual source .... gut instinct.

Shingo Takatsu
Amazing. Since we got Shingo and no one else did, he must suck. I can't believe I'm reading this kind of stuff. We don't know what he can do, but let's get him on the mound and find out before jumping to conclusions like that.

Phil Rogers at it again
Rogers has some valid points and concerns. I don't necessarily agree with his solution, but it's his opinion. A lot of a columnists material is based only on opinion. There are not any rumors mentioned in this column.

Koch will close
I believe Koch was told that the closer's job was his to lose. He isn't gauranteed anything other than too much money, at this point.
-
Why couldn't we use the money we were gonna
And he GOT more than the $12 million a year they offered him.
-
Back up Third baseman
What's up with that remark? Jose is decent at 3B and Uribe is GG caliber at SS.
-
Why couldn't we use the money we were gonna
Because JR put that money up for Bartolo only.

What can we expect from our #4 starter?
All we can do is hope Scott has a good year. If not, and no one else picks up the slack, we are toast.

Early schedule
You know how the Sox luck goes. We could be 12-0 and the damn weather will suck.

Looks like Big Frank is staying:
I still think it's very conceivable that Frank could put up MVP type numbers.

GIDP and the #2 hitter
I agree. Rowand seems to be a real "team" player. He's talented enough to do it, and really should be given the opportunity to hold down that spot in the order.

Top Prospects in AL Central
If he doesn't, he's a bust!

Top Prospects in AL Central
Base stealing is over rated. Especially in the current AL. I think we need to do more of it, but we don't need to go back to being the Go Go White Sox.

Vegas Odds for Team Wins
Ah, but aren't we all?

Top Prospects in AL Central
There are some guys that have a knack for it and some that never will. Certain aspects of base stealing can be taught, but that instinct or knack is not one of them.
