  1. Would we have lost to the Yanks? What difference does it make, now?

    cameron?

I'd take Livan Hernandez from that list. Right there is next year's Loaiza.

    Joe Buck

I'm in 100% agreement with you Killa. Harry was awesome, back in the day. The fact he would tell it like it is endeared him to Sox fans. They/we never respected a "homey" that wouldn't tell it like it is. Hawk pretty well calls it like he sees it, too.
  4. Hudon is too invaluable, I would not. But if it was something retarded by a dumb player like Fick, and what he did to Karros, all I have to say is... HE GONE. Robert Fick cost the Braves games 1 and 3 with his terrible defense. I think it is safe to assume that his options will be along the lines of working for the Tigers and and taking beer showers (not from winning either,) on a professional basis. Glad someone else here see's it as I do. If Fick don't fick up that DP ball in Game 1, Cubs are out in 4. But what is is what is. Sox fans just have to deal with it. :fyou MotherFicker!!!!! If Ortiz hadn't grooved that fastball to Kerry Wood, Fick's Folly wouldn't have mattered. With 2 outs in the inning, an ace like Ortiz should have been able to bear down and get the opposing pitcher out. But still, Fick is a dick. Always has been, always will be.
  5. :fthecubs I hope the Marlin's sweep. :fthecubs
  6. I hope it's the Yankees. I don't know if the Billy Goat Curse is stronger than the Curse of the Bambino. I sure hope so. You gotta think about things like this. If it's Cubs vs Red Sox, that's what will determine the winner. Which ever curse is stronger, that team doesn't stand a chance.
  7. I sure don't have a clue as to what happened to Koch's heater. But, I hope he finds it this winter. We could use him to be effective since we are going to have to pay him so well.
  8. That was one very nasty collision. That had to knock Damon out cold. I'm sure that A's fan will become familiar with the Alameda County courthouse, unless he's some kind of bigshot.
  9. Manny's never been one of my favorite players, but the dude has been an RBI machine his whole career.
  10. This is optional, correct? Home team's choice?
  11. Well, that's what .... 9 possible clinching games in row lost by the A's. Forever to be known as the Choke-land A's. If only they'd learn how to run the bases.

    cameron?

Ponson, ok. Garcia or Weaver... no thank you.
  13. The number one rule for any ballplayer is let the umpire be the umpire. In other word's you bust ass and finish the play, then see what the umpire calls. What Tejada did, by stopping, was asinine. As for the "dirty" play in the Cubs-Braves game. Fick bunted and as he approached 1st, he chopped Karros in the forearm, knocking the ball and glove away. He was called out, but that was typical of that dickhead. He always was first class jerk.

    cameron?

Since we arealmost certainly going to lose Colon, we'll have to sign someone to fill his spot. We can't go into ST hoping to find a 4 & a 5.

    THE HOP

Sosa, with that hop of his, is a friggin' moron.
  16. Ya .. he's proving to be a real clutch player.
  17. My big concern with Diaz is he has this "electric stuff" yet in his stats you don't really see him dominating in any particular area. With the stuff they talk about him having you expect to see him limiting hitters to nothing offensively. In his defense he's playing in a pitchers park and has had his roles flipped around quite a bit. I am hoping to see a breakthrough out of him and I hope the Sox stick him in the rotation and leave him there cause when he was constantly starting in Charlotte he really seemed to get into a groove. I will say this about that...... It does a guy no favors bouncing him back and forth between the rotation and the pen within a season. Some guys handle it better than others, but it is not easy. Jim Bullard seemed to handle it ok. Example given. Actually, Jim flourished in the bullpen, but struggled as a starter. With the exception of one spot start, his ERA rose every other time he started after he moved to the pen. So I don't think it would be accurate to say he did it well. I think he would tell you it is quite difficult to do both well. That spot start at the end of the year is what I had in mind. But, your point is taken.
  18. I can't think of a better thread to stress to the young people in here the importance of getting a quality education. The correlation should speak for itself.
  19. By the time we got to Woodstock we were half a million strong. And every where was song and celebration. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young "Woodstock" That's the best I can do. They were there. LOL
  20. It makes some people ten feet tall and bullet proof.
  21. I've met HSC and Steff... who know all the Sox. Ladies:

    What a fucking joke

Ok. Consider that a figure of speech. I yield on that point. Now, since you are so insistant on being me using literal quotes, why then did you fail to respond when I quoted you and pointed out that Limbaugh did not say what you were attributing to him. I noticed you were very selective as to which portion of my post in which you chose to respond.

  24. I have no interest in either Clayton or Jiminez. I'm glad both of them are gone and in the other league.
