The attacks on Gamboa and the ump were so much more visual. They had film of those incidents because they happened on the field. I think that's the only reason they were "featured" so much more than this incident.

I agree with that overseas comment. The Japanese league is consider a major league. Allowing these Japanese players to be considered rookies would be like considering Jim Thome a National League rookie.

I used to call OLD Comiskey "Sox Park" .... and always called the new one "New Comiskey". Now, I can live with "the Cell" because that does not remind me of the old park in any way. I dearly loved that old ballpark, and this one just doesn't have the same feeling to me.

They usually limit the starters to 2 or 3 inning so nobody loses their All-Star pitcher in a meaningless game. Also, you could have this scenario. Torre is managing the All Star team and his Yankees have a weekend series against the 2nd place Red Sox. Torre could pitch Pedro 7+ innings so his Pedro could not pitch against his team that weekend.
