They turned Soria into two interesting arms starting each with K/9 in the 10 range at their respective levels in the Brewers organization. Medeiros has an above average fastball and plus slider per fangraphs. He's also a 22 year old having a good year in AA and a LHSP. Perez is doing very well in role ball, but should probably be moved up as he is nearly 21. Likely needs to be challenged. Kodi Medeiros, Wilber Perez, and Luis Avilan is a very good return for Jake Peter and cash. -
That deal is basically that plus two lottery tickets.

If not DFA, then bullpen. Stephens needs a shot to start.

Not to mention it's full of lies. Neither the last Democrat president or presidential candidate had a progressive tax platform. There was no mention of lifting the cap on social security wages, increasing individual and corporate tax rates to pre-Reagan levels, or abolishing the practice of "stashing profits overseas" (merely an accounting trick, those companies have access to as much of that money as they want in the US) by forcing those companies to pay all their overdue taxes. In fact, the two clearly articulated tax policies by former Secretary Clinton were horribly regressive. She planned to extend self-employment taxes to S Corporations, which would've ended one of the biggest small business tax breaks that exists, and she agreed with Trump that a repatriation holiday would be a good idea, despite the evidence from the Bush repatriation holiday that it doesn't work. Both of those policies are horribly regressive and benefit no one except the wealthy.

If you can't deal him, DFA him. Too many young pitchers in the org that need an opportunity.

Jose Abreu and Joakim Soria for Yordan Alvarez, Freudis Nova, and Patrick Sandoval
-
If you believe him, he's not actively seeking the rep seat in the 14th district, so either way it's fraud. If you don't believe him, then he's committing a Democrat faux pas by running a sore loser campaign. There are no other options.
-
This is the preferred scenario.
-
That's what I mean, he should probably spend August in AAA, get a handful of starts there this year, and know that that's his starting point in 2019, with a chance to get to MLB by the end of the season.
-
Cease had a great start, flirted with a perfect game until the wheels fell off in the 7th. Still, 101 pitches, 12 K, 7 IP, and only 2 baserunners is very impressive. Also set a new career high for IP tonight. He looks ready for AAA to me.

Adam Engel now has a 3.000 OPS since the invention of the Rally Engel. Coincidence? I think so.

Apparently it works, he doubled.

I completely understand why the Red Sox did what they did and they're certainly getting good value out of Sale, value for which the White Sox had no use. But the White Sox could still get more value, and more appropriately timed value, out of Moncada, Kopech, and Basabe than they ever would have gotten out of Sale.

Because there's no right answer for him except to get off the ballot. If he stays on with no intention of holding the office, that's no less fraudulent than running for a different office. If he stays on with the intention of holding the office, he's running a third party campaign against Ocasio-Cortez which the establishment pretends to hate when it's a progressive running against an establishment Democrat. How is this not obvious to you?
-
Yes, which is consistent with my position that Crowley should get off the ballot. If the Democratic party truly wants the elected representative of the people in their primary to be the only person facing any potential Republican challenger, then they'd support both actions. Of course, the establishment wants establishment candidates, so they're not going to support the same idea they've pushed on progressives for decades when progressives start winning.
-
THIS IS THE MEME!
-
All I said was there was a chance of the deal being lopsided in the favor of the White Sox. Also, all 3 players are in AA or higher now and only Moncada is really struggling (though still in the midst of what looks to be a 3 WAR season at 23).
-
FTFY.

How many times have we said this in July? How many Cy Young Awards does Sale have? This may seem harsh, but until I see him do it in September and October, I'm not believing it. Further, Moncada still has the potential to be a future MVP candidate, Kopech has the potential to be a future Cy Young award candidate, and Basabe is starting to flash the potential of an above average everyday ML starter. If the Sox get all that for Sale, it's a lopsided deal in their favor despite Sale being very good.
-
If you believe what he's saying, he's actively committing fraud by staying on the ballot. If you don't (which I'm inclined not to), he's actively doing the behavior the Democratic party has shunned from progressives for decades. The correct answer is to remove himself from the ballot. The answer I think establishment Democrats want is him to mount a third party campaign. Of course they could prove me wrong by telling Crowley to get off the ballot. ETA: I've done a little work to help my district's state rep, but there's no way I would expend any effort to help the Visclosky or Donnelly campaigns. Way too far right for my tastes. Donnelly actually ran an ad touting praise from Trump.
-
That's not answering the question. If Crowley were to get elected as the representative of the 14th district, does he intend to hold the office? Of course I don't expect an answer to that question, because there isn't a good one, which is why he should do whatever is necessary to remove himself from the ballot.
-
Someone did a midseason update recently and had him in the 30s.
-
So you're saying if elected back to the House, he would intend to hold that office? Because if not, it's fraud for him to be on the ballot same as if he ran for any other office, and if so, that's running against her.
