  1. That does say RHH. My bad. Still, Davidson for 2 lottery tickets?
  2. Davidson or Palka for 2 lottery tickets? Doubt we get Tucker, but I wonder what they'd pay for Avi and Abreu. A 4-5 player package with 3 quality prospects and 1-2 lottery tickets would be great.
  3. I'd wait until the 2020 offseason and pursue him as a free agent if the catching situation isn't resolved by then.
  4. I'm starting to think he's not going to get as big of offers as people expect and that Machado may end up the top target for most teams this offseason.
  5. Sounds great to me, though I'd prefer a team option for 2026.

He and Arenado are the 2020 targets unless the Sox are able to draft Rutschman or one of Collins or Zavala takes off and becomes the everyday ML starter at C between now and then. At least to AAA. I don't know what more he has to show at AA. Since his first bad outing, he's dominated the level.
  7. So did you miss the part where I said she would be tolerable, or where I said she was much more progressive than my expectation? You asked a specific question and got a specific answer. If you didn't want the answer to how your candidate was corporatist, you shouldn't have asked.
  8. On the issues page, under the "Creating Jobs and A Strong Economy" tab. The policies and priorities scream corporatist. There's no plan to raise taxes on corporations and the wealthy or to lift the cap on social security wages, for example.
  9. Given that Reddy is working for her, she's way more progressive than I would've thought. Public option was a phrase I didn't expect to see. She's still a little too corporatist for my taste, but tolerable.

I think if you add Walker, you pretty much have all of the serious contenders.
  11. Your scenario is extreme high variance, mine is extreme low variance. As for Harper, I'd send a better package than what the Dodgers paid for Machado if it gave an extension window wherein the deal would be null and void if no agreement were reached. So, basically, it's not going to happen, try to pursue him in the offseason.
  12. I want to see Shane Bieber face Nick Madrigal in a 3-2 count.

Don't forget the "Lead the IL in HRs" box. He's 10 off the league lead having played about a quarter of the games of their season.
  14. If the Padres are just wanting to give away prospects for high uncertainty talented pitchers, the Sox could send Rodon for Tatis Jr., Mejia, and Morejon.
  15. I've been reading it Med-ee-air-ohs. That might be wrong, though.
  16. The Padres and Braves both have better farm systems. The Padres beat the Sox on both top end talent and depth, while the Braves just kill with their depth.
  17. Why?
  18. An offer of Soroka, Allard, Riley, and Contreras from the Braves would have me listening.
  19. That's my impression, and he and Perez are a good return for Soria.
  20. .350 BABIP + 5% K rate ~ .330 BA. If he hits in the .330s, he'd be a high .800s-low .900s OPS guy.
  21. I don't understand this when 3 good months of Kahnle made him the main piece for Rutherford.
  22. Someone said earlier that Medeiros reminds them of Rodon, I think that's the best comparison. Slider is filth, has plus-plus potential if he can locate it, fastball is average to above, needs to develop the change and control. A poor man's Carlos Rodon is a great comp IMO. Hopefully he can reach that potential.
  23. I think the White Sox will bring him stateside.
