  1. Is 670 streaming audio OK today? Or still having problems?
  2. Lillibridge should have been on the roster opening day. His ability as a PR is a crucial thing for late inning moments. Our 42 yr old pinch runner notwithstanding.
  3. Just throwin out there, Tigers losing, Twins winning Omar has become beloved in a hurry
  4. Man, Atlanta has some guys that take some ferocious swings on the ball. Hopefully this lead lets Danks settle in and get comfortable.
  5. I was so sure that was a sarcastic post. Phew
  6. jamesdiego as a veteran of annoying avs myself, i stand and applaud you sir
  7. Missed most of this game but thanks to those contributing to this thread. Sounds like Jake really answered his critics.
  8. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 02:37 AM) We are 21-7 in games that Jenks has pitched in, in any situation.. for comparisons sake, the Yankees are 20-4 in games that Rivera has pitched in.. My post about you throwing some stat at us was more of a joke than anything, didn't mean for you to think I think you are a Jenks hater or anything.. I understand he deserves criticism for how poorly he looked at the start of the season.. The argument for most people isnt that Jenks can't be good. There's more a suspicion that he stops throwing the curve for long stretches of time without telling anyone his reasoning. True, he could be informing Coop/Ozzie outside our knowledge....but there seems to be a scenario where he keeps going out there, but restricts his curve throwing to 1) pace himself? 2) preserve his health for financial gain this offseason? 3)who knows But since we dont get the info, we begin wondering about these possibilities.
  9. People jumping on our hitters looking bad in the 9th. Marmol has an insane amount of ability when harnessing it. I tip the cap, cant be shocked w/ our bats the way theyve been this year.
  10. At some point Buehrle has to have a last game ever in a White Sox uniform. If the time's now to maximize his value in trade, the real fan wants the right move to be made. It's a tough decision to make but that's why the evaluators get paid what they're paid.
  11. On Comcast right now. Very interesting to me to hear Hawk discuss his days as GM. He seems to be very uncomfortable talking about his one 'recent' failure
  12. QUOTE (Mattchoo @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 07:04 PM) Please explain to me why some of you want to keep Alexei. I cannot stand him, his style of play, and what he "brings" to the Sox. If I was the GM, I'd be looking for upgrades at the SS position while unloading some of the vets. I wouldn't be as frustrated with AR if he was playing 2B, but that is supposedly going to be Gordon Beckham's position for his entire career with the Sox. People focus on his defense from the first half of last year. But it has gotten a lot better since then. If your biggest problem is the occasional lackadaisical throw, that can be corrected. He's cheap labor and a lot of bat for the SS position(at that price). No one wants to hear that he's a good dollar value of talent, but good teams manage to have that guy. Our problem is we havent populated the roster with star big $ talent to complement our nice bargain buys. So for that reason AR looks like a drain on the ticket at the moment.
  13. Deeply hating specific teams is kind of pointless. Very 'look at me look what i'm doing'
  14. Galarraga actually is married to a southside girl I know of
  15. Pierre's OBP isnt sparkling obviously, but I'd hold that he mightve been enough to make a difference if we had Becks/CQ and a DH working on all cylinders.
  16. Cant we all just get along(and get back to blaming the team)
  17. I've been a little out of the loop for the last two weeks. Is it safe to say this is the first real sign lately of Santos being used in important situations....at least consistently...maybe for a week now? or less?
  18. My mom still brings up missing Aaron Rowand maybe every fifth game she watches. Lesson learned:Moms love Aaron Rowand. Aaron Rowand is for moms.
  19. Rios so much quicker with his hands this year. Night n' day
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 21, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) Laughing at the Marlins broadcast team poking fun at the Brewers for being down 13-0 to Minnesota. Umm, hello? Well in all fairness the announcers rightly so perhaps arent considering themselves part of the team.
