Is it a big game to him though?
Not just his ex-mates but his first game of consequence in years. As he's trying to prove he still belongs in MLB. He'll be pumped.
Where I work they observe the Jewish holidays completely and totally
Therefore I get the day off. Of course I dont get Xmas off, or Thanksgiving...but this makes it worth it.

Wise is a 30 yr old with a career batting average of .217, a .255 obp, and has 19 career stolen bases. Somehow Ozzie played him in all three games in the biggest series of the year and had him leadoff in two of them....he seems to be Ozzie's new Timo Perez. Im hoping that Wise and Anderson are both gone,
If you dont like BA either, then who would you have started? Someone has to be out there.
I'm sure everyone's clicking this to laugh and attack
But when you really sit back, we lost an MVP candidate, among other guys... and we're in it on the last day of the season.
If you can distance yourself from the last week (tough)... you'd have to say that if it happened to another division leader you might say "nice job not collapsing completely"

we got bigger problems than the 4th OFer
Agreed but this time without CQ has been an audition of sorts, whether we planned it or not.
Hilariously many of us figured it'd be 2 wins by Minn and Chicago each at this point, so we'd be in the same position as we are now.
Yet are way angrier right now about arriving at the same point in a different way.
Lets just talk about anything but this season.
Who would you want to put in that 4th OF slot? Even if you think they should be starter just vote for one. I was going to put Jerry Owens but I dont want anyone more angry than they already are right now.

Konkerko, Swisher, Toby Hall, J. Uribe, OC, Griffey, O. Dotel, D. Wise, DJ Carrasco, J. Fields, J. Owens, A. Russell
The church of D-Wise frowns

LMAO...Hawk just said the Sox were still one of the best 3 teams he's seen all year in baseball?!?!? What a crackhead.
Well, pre-CQ we could slug you to death. And the pen when it was going well was either great or just good enough.
Losing CQ changes everything.
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 06:34 PM)
Ozzie, do not go to the pen at all today. Let Richard finish this and hope he keeps it close and the offense shows up. But as of now, stick with Richard the rest of the way and get the pen fresh and ready for tomorrow's win and Monday's win.
I wanna make Richard the freaking setup man the rest of the way at this point.
The most hilarious thing in this ballgame is while the fans were standing and applauding the KC victory, we hit into a double play
sums up the season. post CQ at least.
