  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) 93 for Danks through 7. It's game 163, he's going 8. Way our pen has been, there would be zero public fallout if Ozzie leaves him in and he's shelled in the 8th
  2. Danks pitch count stabilizing. Never does he do that this late!
  3. OC, awesome. i hate to agree w/ the exuberant Harold here but OC is a winner and is a pro this time of year
  4. mask replay thing was very matrix and very cool
  5. Mauer is human wow that was dumb
  6. Blackburn is just dead set on not letting us have the longball. Keeping it down down down.
  7. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) Cabrera, Wise, please start off the inning on base. They likely thought you were referring to a different Cabrera & Wise.
  8. JD2 is awesome. Brandon be damned
  9. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 08:01 PM) lol@ HR thinking AJ can throw anyone out. seriously
  10. Span terrifies me, i'll take casilla
  11. off his body language, I thought Gomez put that in the gap but then again his body language is always 'oh s*** i'm at a led zep reunion'
  12. My ideal game had us going to Richard soon w/ a good lead. Not my ideal game thus far obviously. EDIT: i should say, ideal still assuming danks w/ his usual high pitch count
  13. Griff wants a ring. Great throw. Swisher does that in his dreams.
  14. QUOTE (Baines3 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) If we win tomorrow, I think the pressure of post season play may get to the Rays. I've kind of been thinking about this. We've been so bad lately that, would we eek into the playoffs, we almost dont belong so obviously that we might go in and play real loose. I dont know if that actually ever becomes a benefit, but it sounds good to me.
  15. QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:40 AM) Ya know...it's been a WRENCHING past couple of weeks. And regardless of what becomes of these last possible games I've understood every single one of everybody's f*** you's, you suck so and so, etc...and I've been right there with ya. But bottom line what I've come to realize tonight sitting rationally discussing tonights events with my lady...bottom line is we're ALL Sox fans and bleed black and silver and love this team no matter what we say in a fit of rage. So I guess this is my little shpeel that no matter what happens the next few days...just realize that this team is a REAL passion in your life. Good or bad...it's still a passion...and better than having none at all. Right now I hate this team. I say that knowing that deep down...I still love it. That's just us. We're bipolar. We're White Sox fans. We want the best. And if we flop the next day or two...we'll be right back up on that horse come spring training. I've really enjoyed the banter you dudes have provided this year! Hmpf
  16. QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 03:40 PM) Is it a big game to him though? Not just his ex-mates but his first game of consequence in years. As he's trying to prove he still belongs in MLB. He'll be pumped.
  17. Where I work they observe the Jewish holidays completely and totally Therefore I get the day off. Of course I dont get Xmas off, or Thanksgiving...but this makes it worth it.
  18. QUOTE (tpezz27 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:43 AM) Wise is a 30 yr old with a career batting average of .217, a .255 obp, and has 19 career stolen bases. Somehow Ozzie played him in all three games in the biggest series of the year and had him leadoff in two of them....he seems to be Ozzie's new Timo Perez. Im hoping that Wise and Anderson are both gone, If you dont like BA either, then who would you have started? Someone has to be out there.
  19. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 09:41 PM) See avatar. When I first loaded this it showed The Riddler and I was trying to figure it out
  20. Jenks and Thome trade nets some real value and lets us move some pieces around. (tell Thome no playing time here for him if he vetoes)
  21. I'm sure everyone's clicking this to laugh and attack But when you really sit back, we lost an MVP candidate, among other guys... and we're in it on the last day of the season. If you can distance yourself from the last week (tough)... you'd have to say that if it happened to another division leader you might say "nice job not collapsing completely"
  22. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) we got bigger problems than the 4th OFer Agreed but this time without CQ has been an audition of sorts, whether we planned it or not.
  23. Hilariously many of us figured it'd be 2 wins by Minn and Chicago each at this point, so we'd be in the same position as we are now. Yet are way angrier right now about arriving at the same point in a different way.
  24. Lets just talk about anything but this season. Who would you want to put in that 4th OF slot? Even if you think they should be starter just vote for one. I was going to put Jerry Owens but I dont want anyone more angry than they already are right now.
