NFL and HGH
since a baseball player was pretty much caught red handed with HGH and now baeball is getting a lot of flack about their steriod/HGH policy. I wonder why the same scrutiny does go towards the NFL. They do not test for HGH. Gene Upshaw said over the weekend he doesnt support it because its unreliable. Why is this there is disconnect between the 2 sports? And how many NFL players do you think take HGH

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) I want Sportscenter to revert back to how it was covered/shown 10 years ago. I agree thank goodness I get ESPN News on my cable. less talking heads. same amount of highlights as Sports Center. Plus I can just look at the bottom line to look for a score I want

Corey Patterson
Patterson was thrown out by Joe Mauer trying to steal third the first time this year he has been thrown out by a catcher (the other a pickoff) as Im typing this, he gets picked off by Fat Boy Dennis Reyes 0-2 in steals tonight

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) Let's get us some Lew Ford or Torii Hunter. I'd be extremely happy with either one. you can have Lew Ford imo

AL Central Central
3-3 and a walk .381 now but Ichiro has been killing the Twins pitching all year 12 hits this series (compared to Mauer's 9) and Ichiro is over .360
-
Torii Hunter
I think someone is blwoing some trade smoke a this Hunter deal. About 2 weeks ago, the Twins front office and Torii opened up some contract extension talks. So maybe this rumor is to up his price a bit Secondly, Lew Ford does not have a cannon arm. He is accurate, but not powerful. And he is batting about .230 this year and has taking some realllllllly bad swings

AL Central Central
btw, Joe Mauer rasied his average last night too .370 and he got an rbi hit in the first today the man is a machine

New roids story
I was surprised to learn that Grimsley was still pitching! ---- QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) I don't give a s*** if they implicate numerous former or current White Sox players, I just really want to see some names thrown out there. This whole thing should lead to a blood test for HGH, Grimsley's situation should make the human growth hormone problem a major focal point. I agree with this post --- an interesting take from Keith Olbermann http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12131617/#060501a

anybody is better than Scott Ulger who was the hitting caoch last year, and he did a wonderful job last year
-
AL Central Central
The Twins should have 2 more runs, but our stupid third base coach puts up the stop sign too many times grr and things are falling apart this inning 3-1 in the bottom of 6
