  1. There are a number of players in the league for which I would trade crede. There are also no teams in the league willing to trade the players I would want. Hence, no... I would not trade crede.
  2. See my avatar and signature: thats pretty much how I feel about this season...
  3. The problem with these threads (which have occurred frequently) is that nobody who's "in" can logically believe it... and nobody wants to say "out" cause they think it will reflect on them as a fan. Most people registered here want to be in with their hearts. If they pull out a miracle and come back, we'll all feel great.... It will be a thrill. It would be completely unprecedented and unexpected.... But our brains say this team is out. In addition to being too far back, they haven't played the type of baseball they need to make a run since about June. So I'll always be with the white sox. I'll root for them no matter what. So I'm always "in." But its not our year
  4. The division or wild card can't be won with this series in Oakland... but it can be lost.
  5. QUOTE(WhiteSox3333 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 09:19 AM) Actually, I want to take my disabled nephew who is 8 years old to get a few autographs. I live in San Francisco, and at the ballpark, it's hard getting him down near the dugouts in his wheelchair, so the hotel is the easiest option. He loves the White Sox, and in the past, they've been great with signing autographs for him at their hotel. I don't know which hotel it is exactly. I BELIEVE, but am not totally certain, that most MLB teams stay in Westin hotels where they are available. For the Giants visitors, last year it was the Westin Tabor Center. I have no idea if that applies for the A's or not. Again, I can't say this with certainty. But if you hear a rumor from someone else that its a Westin, or W or something like that, I can say thats also what I have heard.
  6. Loaiza had been en fuego this summer Before his last start, he had only given up two earned runs in over 38 innings previously. I'm glad its garland pitching tonight...

  8. It shocking how unpopular Mariotti is among other writers.... Pretty much everyone, even Telander with his own paper, has taken a shot at him in the last year. Its very tellling. I refuse to read Mariotti, but I gladly read articles by others taking shots at marriotti
  9. My previous post needs a little clarification: If gload plays left, who leads off?
  10. I'm revoking my Richard Simmons this post is gay sign.... In light of other considerations, and this is only the first time Pete has ever posted here, it wa a bit harsh. Welcome about Pete7784
  11. I don't read Mariotti... I don't care what he has to say.
  12. I listen to it periodically. I'd say they have chosen their talent very poorly. Rachel Matto and Jerry Springer are bad in morning drive time. Randi Rhodes sucks on the way home. Ed Schultz is pretty good though. He's on during the day, so i never listen to him. Liberal radio isn't going to work cause most liberals tend to be 1) much bigger music fans than hardcore conservatives who listen to talk radio, and 2) listen to NPR.
  13. man I wish I didn't have to work... I've been following this all game long, and this is getting excruciating
  14. Oh man... thank god the twins finally lost.
  15. wasn't lance corporal kendrick dishonorably discharged for what he did to Private william santiago at Guantanamo Bay?
  16. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) if you guys are wrong and we somehow win this game will you please STFU forever I'm sick of everyone rushing to the front to proclaim "the end is near!" EVERY SINGLE f***ING GAME I think most of us agree that 1) we can win this game, and 2) If we do, we're still very much in it. But the reality is that this sox team put themselves in a position where they need to win crucial games on a west coast road trip after playing like crap basically since the all-star game. 2.5 out against Minnesota (who shows no sign of slowing down) and 4 out against detroit is a pretty tall order over 17 games.
  17. is there an easier dp in the league than thome-konerko? its got to be the easiest since the glory days of mo vaugh - piazza
  18. QUOTE(jenksd @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) If everyone wants Anderson in for his D, why doesn't everyone want Uribe in? thats probably a really fair point... I guess BA is still young. He's got a lot of room to grow offensively. With uribe, you kinda know what you get.... a free swinger who's gonna walk as much as christopher reeve. In addition, BA has hit upwards of 270 since august. but i think you make a good point. maybe i should ease my criticism of uribe offensively.
  19. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) If Juan plays for his D (like that), why doesn't Anderson? well ozzie played shortstop.... he knows its the only defensive position on the field that matters.
  20. theres a lot of days when I think the soxtalk pages are too pesimistic, but if we get shutdown tonight after the tigers and twins win, its gonna feel like a morgue around here... ... and with good cause.
  21. ugh... uribe.... can anyone here play shortstop?
  22. i feel sick... i can't believe oakland and texas both wet themselves tonight...
  23. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:42 PM) comcast continues its record breaking streak of 933 innings consecutively without showing the first pitch oh wait its the u tonight...
  24. comcast continues its record breaking streak of 933 innings consecutively without showing the first pitch
  25. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) MIRACLE HOMERUN???? thats almost as ridiculous as the meatball comments. If our guys start swinging at every pitch that looked like the one rivera hit, you be b****ing in a hurry...
