The AP called Blago an 1.5 hours ago.... that means turnout in Cook County is going to be big.... ... that means stroger's probably gonna win (which is sorta disgusting even to this democrat)

I'm nervous about the results tonight. Most of the prognosticators are predicting that we take the house, but come up short in the senate. I think thats still a pretty huge victory in light of everything. One thing's for sure though, no matter what happens, both parties will be declaring it a victory for their side tomorrow.

wow... i figured that it would happen eventually. but so soon. One of my concerns throughout the show was being able to generate enough plot out of the characters that all work in the office. I mean, there is only so much that can happen with the group there.... Its a credit to the writers that they are able to keep this so damn great. Honestly, its brilliant. A word of note: In Illinois, most judges will excuse a juror if they have served on jury duty in that courthouse within the past year. I'm 26... and never been called for jury duty. Not that I'll ever be chosen anyway... though I kinda wish that I would be on a jury.

I think the electoral college system is really useless. whoever gets the most votes should be president. I used to be very opposed to publicly funded elections. I've warmed to it some, but not enough to make it completely practical.... Still seems to infringe to greatly on 1st amendment rights.

Much of what I ever learned about trying to hook up with chicks I learned from the movie Swingers. I highly suggest you pick it up and study it. If you follow the general principles of the movie, you'll be money any place you go. Every single line about girls in that movie is right... seriously. To me, the fact that you're talking about this with us sends a giant red flag that you're nervous. Don't be... Girls want confidence... they're drawn to it. Be yourself and have fun. You probably won't marry this chick, but if she digs you, you'll probably nail her... and thats the most important thing you should be thinking about at 19 years of age. But no advice in the world is gonna do you any good unless you have confidence in yourself. I sorta take pride in my playbook for hooking up with chicks... Much of it is derived from Swingers and also a book called "The Game: Undercover in the Secret world of Pick-up artists." But more importantly, its basically what I learned by trying and sometimes failing. Thats the fun of dating... losses are small. If you get rejected, so what? But wins are big; you go home with a beautiful chick, you feel like a million dollars.... Eventually, you keep doing this, you meet the right one and it all works out. (as an aside, all this is much easier with the influence of alcohol... in the begining, it can lower the natural inhibitions to be afraid of aproaching chicks.)

I'm pretty fed up with the nonsense spewing out of our two gubernatorial candidate right now. Frankly, I think they are both morons. I've decided not to vote in the governor's election. There's all kinds of shadiness around Blago; Topinka worked closely with a crook (ryan). All these attack ads make me sick. I wish they could both lose.

I like Joey Cora. He always played hard for the sox... though I've had my qualms about his third base coaching decisions, I hope he gets the call to coach a big league team. As a rule, I'll always root for past white sox players to suceed in other ventures. Cora was never the most talented player... but he had a higher baseball iq than most. I hope he gets the job
