He's worth a bag of balls but just getting him off the roster is a bonus long term.

I mean Teel is a fine young player but batting him 4th is objectively silly.

Teel hitting 4th with a .036 ISO is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Been a team that's focused on hitting over defense for as long as I can remember. Def one of their limiting factors and a reason they never get over the top imo.

Hawk was an ELITE play by play guy until around 2010. Then he declined rapidly and hung on too long. People mostly just remember the silly things he said at the end of his career but Hawk knew baseball and he had an air of authority that Jason and John never will. Jason at least wants to learn and obviously has an excuse for never playing himself. John claims he was a scholarship pitcher that blew him arm out and never played again. That is 100% BS. Nobody that played DIII let alone was on a scholarship would know so little about the game. John calls the game like an alien. He doesn't get anything about baseball.

I mean he can stand on business. Fans don't like to be talked down to especially the knowledgeable ones here. As I said last week, I'm personally done trying to interact with him, but he can articulate why he thinks what he does at any time. He has chosen to remain in some gray zone as an obvious Sox employee but also a fan posting here.

From like 1995 to 2015 we had a fun run even with not much sustained winning. We had a lot of stars, memorable events, etc. Since 2015 it's been really not a lot of fun.

It works a helluva lot better at every non MLB level. MLB players are too fucking good to have it work often at this level imo.
