  1. the ball girls sucks, what are we doing?
  2. Good start for Noah, battling control a bit but buckled down.
  3. Weather in Chicago looks about as "spring" like as here today. Cool and damp still.
  4. Yea I'm closer to the latter opinion here. We're not really contenders in any sense of the word even if we make it to the deadline around .500. Giving up anything other than some spare parts doesn't make sense and even around .500 we should be looking to continue to look to trade Dominguez and others that have any value and are not key pieces going forward.
  5. He's been hitting the ball hard but is a mediocre RF at best and needs to improve his LA. We have nobody better right now so keep trotting him out I guess. At least he hasn't made any bone headed game losing mistakes other than getting picked off the other day.
  6. This didn't fly off the rack?
  7. I'd go: Teel, Sam, Mune, Colson, Vargas, Meidroth and then whoever else is the OF and DH. Just lump our 6 best hitters together and make sure Teel and Sam are getting a ton of ABs they are they table setters for the boppers.
  8. Will is turning into a pretty good manager. Hopefully he manages with a sense of urgency the rest of the way as the fans and players deserve a shot at 80 or so wins and see what happens in the division. Obviously things can change but for now we have a puncher's chance at the playoffs. First time in a long time we've had a log jam of solid or better players in the infield. Maybe since the 90s?
  9. Bit of a rough stretch for him, needs to lay off the junk early in the count. Him and Colson giving too many strikes away chasing last couple weeks. That said both are talented enough to get hot at any time again.
  10. Sam is a helluva player. Talented grinder. I love his ABs. He's up there hacking and knows what he's trying to do.
  11. Pecota projects Sox for 73 wins as of this morning. Not a data point I really personally look at much anymore but I think we can safely say this isn't a 100 loss team and might not even be a 90 loss team.
  12. Yea no it really is bizarre. Ozzie was better 20 years ago. Just sorta time pauses for nobody type s%*#. I'm just happy AF that we are relevant again and us old fucks are talking ozzie's accent.
  13. Talent imo. We finally have enough. Chase is like everything you hoped madrigal would be. i just looked, only 2762 more for madrigal to get 3k hits.
  14. If Ozzie didn't have the same accent he did in 1998 he'd be a lot more popular.
  15. I kinda like that at least they are using Acuna as a catalyst to just employ a shitload of HR guys as the last roster bats. Being able to play a solid SS/CF is at least a solid 26th man skill. Getz playing 4d chess for now.
  16. Yup was just thinking that. We have enough solid players (Meidroth, Romo, Fedde for tonight) that sometimes you win without the studs doing anything. That is a sign of org progress without question.
  17. fandom is wild. about once a week at middle age I get dialed into this s%*# when the team is decent like I'm 12 again. Sox have some reasons to be cared about again.
  18. We're winning on talent which is crazy. Big ups to chase.
  19. This one I'm giving to Getz. Hill was a great signing.
