Predictable.

4/15 - White Sox vs Indians
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) He had to go quick to try and get him out and that was probably the only way. I think Gordo can throw with his momentum going the wrong way because of his arm strength but Micah's gotta use that speed.

I have no idea if he would have thrown him out but he wasn't going to throw him out backhanding that ball and squaring to throw. Use that speed man round it off.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) Righties hit better against Bauer than lefties do And it's the 23 year old that needs all the PA he can get that gets the day off. f***ing Robin man. 9 out of the 10 things he does make zero sense to me.

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) nice grab. does dayan catch that? No, and it's probably a a three base error.

4/14 Games
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 11:24 PM) AAAA pitchers usually don't have the stuff he has. I have a feeling cleto will have at least one decent year out of the pen in MLB. If he can just find the plate with his fastball, he'll be fine. That said, he hasn't shown any ability to do that at the MLB level.

And That's a White Sox Winner !!
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:36 PM) I would bet on Crain before Nate Jones this season. Both are, at best, iffy. Montas = those two imo as far as likelyhood of impact from the pen later in the year. They will obviously try those guys out first but if it's late July or early August and Montas has had a solid campaign in AA he could certainly have an impact from the pen imo. Provided he can throw strikes. Not saying his long term future should be pen, but if other options falter he could be the difference in a game or two that helps make the playoffs.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:30 PM) Love how those last 9 all came from offseason transactions too, just beautiful. yep, they spent money, and so far, looks like money well spent.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:29 PM) Let's not forget the Abreu solo bomb ! Or Q. Both helped a lot. Basically enough of the studs showed up to make up for the mistakes. Just win.

And That's a White Sox Winner !!
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:26 PM) Robertson has 4 IP 1 H and 8 Ks. That's beautiful and to think Joe Nathan is getting paid roughly the same this year. Stud closers are worth 10+ million and Robertson is one of them no doubt. His stats and stuff reflect that. Unless he suddenly loses command, it's hard to see him not being at least average closer or better through his deal. It's not like he'd be awful if he lost a couple ticks on his fastball.

don't look now but the sox are actually in a 3 way tie for 8th best record in the AL at 3-4 and only 1.5 away from a tie for the 2nd wild card. Good f***ing job winning three in a row team. Can see some of the offseason plan coming together the last few games.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) Jennings, Duke, Robertson 8 of last 9 outs via K ! Haven't seen anything like that in a while. Talent papers over mistakes, that certainly was the case tonight. And of course, the offense did enough. Sox might lose this one 3-2 last year. Still, far from a clean game but I will take 3-4. Now if Det and KC would just slow down some...

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:14 PM) After seeing Quintana take his glove off, rub the ball, do his little ritual to get on the rubber, then look in for the sign, what Robertson did was a breath of fresh air. lol that is the one thing about q, he's deliberate. Oh well, he's pretty effing good.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:06 PM) He came in on defense either last inning or the 7th I really don't like defensive replacements earlier than the 9th. Conor is a good hitter and forces the Tribe to try and have a lefty face him. Why not let him hit then insert Gordon for the 9th? Oh well I will stop 2nd guessing for this game.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:05 PM) It seems like Robin is always going to find an AB for Beckham you can cay that again. the orgs hard on for these guys beckham and hinrich is inexplicable. It's not like another team wanted him the Angels saw enough...

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:02 PM) He throws out of both slots. I don't know if you noticed. In the AB against Kipnis, his first few pitches were all out of 3/4. He went side-arm for 2 straight sliders and Kipnis probably read that and didn't even bother to swing. Good thing he made a great pitch on 3-2. yea i read quite a bit on him when he signed. It's even better he switches. I'm a fan of Duke his saber stats and the scouting align. Maybe Sale was inspired he did some weird varying motion the other day!
