6/13 Games
That's an insane swing against a LHP. 415 to dead center? On a pitch middle out? Wow.

Fire Chris Getz
29 teams have positive fWAR from their position players. The Sox have -2.3 fWAR.

Fire Pedro Grifol
dreamy? my lasting memory of ozzie is him quiet quitting and then just plain quitting. f*** him. Thanks for 2005.

Steve Wilson back, Tim Hill DFAd
We had this conversation already. Dave Dombrowski and an owner willing to spend aren't walking through that door.

Steve Wilson back, Tim Hill DFAd
I think creating potentially the worst team of all time is in another dimension than simply fielding a bad team. And importantly for our future, a 45 win team is 20 wins further away from being anything good than a 65 win team. We're so fucked.

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
WTF? Why would you even tweet that? JFC.

Steve Wilson back, Tim Hill DFAd
We are 1/3 into the season and our position players have -2.3 fWAR. We started out slow, we kept slow, we been slow, we are still slow.

From the 2nd row in Seattle: observations and s%*#
My advice is to get the 6 dollar dog on Occidental outside the stadium. It's better quality and cheaper. That's what I did. Went to the guy that had the "20 condiments" sign. In general Safeco (or T-Mobile) I guess has solid options but there is no way I'm paying those prices if I'm also drinking. Bad enough dropping 50 bucks on 3 beers.

That's brutal.

6/12 Sox @ Seattle 8:40PM CT
We love playing a man down or playing a guy out of position.

6/12 Sox @ Seattle 8:40PM CT
Spent like $150 bucks total on that crap last night. That's about all my budget has in it for the Sox this year.

6/12 Sox @ Seattle 8:40PM CT
Yikes. Colas in CF is not putting him in a position to succeed.

3 injury updates
I was enjoying having an actual MLB LF, at least defensively. Bummer.

6/12 Games
is there a chance he makes some midseason 100 lists or is the stink from last year still too much?

Nastrini down, Peralta up, Drohan DFA
Yea, it was appraised as someone worth a 40 and 26 man spot before being re-appraised as a bad addition. You can't find that sort of commitment just anywhere.

Nastrini down, Peralta up, Drohan DFA
That seems stupid. What a waste.

How much better would this team be if Ozzie was the manager?
Says something about something that Ozzie is such a powerful figure around this franchise.

White Sox calling up Thorpe
He def left a few changeups up right, that the scoreboard was classifying as "cutters" but they were just changeups up no? They were up but the velocity change was still fooling guys, Gio when he was on his game would get the same results even when he left them up. If the motion and everything is exact as the fastball and spin similar sometimes doesn't even matter if it's grooved.

Sox @ Seamen 6/11 8:40 CDT
Mixed signals in his underlying data. 31% pull rate, which is terrible and won't cut it. But avg LA up to 19, avg EV up to 91. He's obviously trying to hit more fly balls, but he's still fighting his swing. From the side profile his load is long and loopy. He's clearly trying to wring any and all power out of the body and frame he has, but he's got about another 100 games in MLB as a lock starter to figure it out. If he can close with like a 770 OPS for the year you give him another shot, it's it's closer to 670 probably not, not as a starter anyways.

From the 2nd row in Seattle: observations and s%*#
Didn't see any toxicity but didn't see much positive vibes either. It was way too Church like in the dugout in general. Of course when you're on pace to set all time loss records and have blown over two dozen leads already it's hard to have a rah rah atmosphere. Again the one real exception was Lee. Dude was into the game all night.

White Sox calling up Thorpe
It was such a terrible error by Lopez too he played himself into the intermediate hop and then just flubbed it. To his credit Thorpe didn't get flustered like we've seen from some of our starters over the years and just kept pitching. The play he came off the mound down the 3rd base line was pretty incredible. A rare moment where you see elite athleticism from a pitcher. He fired that ball falling away and put a strike to first. If he wants to have a higher ceiling he'll need to either gain a few ticks of velocity or really dial in a breaking ball. His floor however seems like a 2 WAR 4th starter that will give you a decent chance to win, assuming you don't have the 2024 White Sox team around you.

From the 2nd row in Seattle: observations and s%*#
I really don't know what he was trying to do. I shouted "you're in over your head" and he was only like 25 feet away and he laughed and said something like "hey see me after the game" and smiled and made a thumbs up and then like he was going to sign something for me or something? I gotta say he was a good sport about it. I don't know it's hard to hate a guy that reacts that way to a heckle. I can despise him as a fan but as a person eh he seemed fine.
