  1. given that sentence structure you must be passing some out.
  2. I really feel like Rickets is just gonna bleed that franchise dry and suck out all the profits he can before passing it off to some other schmuck. He got his one flag and it will fly forever, and I don't think he has ANY interest in spending anything more than he has to do keep at least 25K or so flowing into the stadium every home game and a decent TV contract whenever it's up. I'd expect the Cubs to operate like a Detroit or Cleveland going forward, not a bottom 5 payroll, but bottom 15 for sure. lol, speaking of the devil:
  3. right, that game was over. at least I wait until we're down 6 runs to leave. we got people on here saying it's gonna be a sweep before the 1st pitch is even thrown. if you can't see the difference in those situations well, it might get you some internet stickers but it's not the same thing, at all.
  4. Sure hope the players don't have the attitude of this thread. One game at a time.
  5. Just need to peak at the right time. It's the dog days of summer and the manager isn't managing with any sense of urgency, which is smart, but it probably trickles down to the players losing some intensity at times.
  6. He looked pretty good, velocity was down a touch but finished at 97 in his last inning.
  7. I think Jose was joking with Collins at the end of the game about how he isn't the guy being sent down tmr.
  8. I think Sale is probably done as a TOR guy. He might be able to give them like 130 innings around 120 ERA+. That division is still New York's and TBs imo. Semien is a huge loss, he's a legit MVP contender and losing him alone moves them down about 6 projected wins.
  9. I mean you can see how much more deadly the offense is with Eloy and Robert back, which is a great thing. The bullpen, well, there's some time to get that shit straightened out thankfully.
  10. Should have been 9-5 but whatever, that's a good road trip.
  11. that was a helluva play by leury that ball had a shitload of topspin and was sinking fast.
  12. I just tried switching back to the Sox broadcast and I lasted all of 30 seconds listening to Bacon. I don't know how you guys are doing it.
  13. Crochett is now the 8th inning guy. Period. Don't care whose feelings get hurt. This is why TLR was hired, if he can't make this call he shouldn't be here.
  14. i have zero confidence in this club right now. is what it is.
  15. least fun first place team ever. this bullpen is straight trash.
  16. zevala is just as bad as Collins behind the plate.
  17. he's a really bad defender, I can see why he was let loose in his prior stops despite being a pretty decent option against RHP.
  18. he just hasn't had it lately. I think it's because he's going 2-3 days between uses, it's time to take the kid gloves off.
  19. boom or bust offense, hopefully when they get grandal back it gets more consistent, he really helps with seeing a lot of pitches and keeping the line moving.
