he's our opener next year it makes too much fucking sense not to do it. Let him come in at 96 with that running fastball and let him get 6-9 outs before he tires.
@mqr -- on this board? You'll find someone arguing RBI % as a critical All-Star stat. So why not "learning to win together". In baseball. Imagine that. This isn't a 5 man lineup learning to play off Jordan it's 9 guys going up there with a job to do individually and one guy on the mound doing his. But some people think it's like soccer or basketball.
I wouldn't take anything from spring training either way. He shouldn't be in Charlotte even if he has an ERA of a billion in spring training. It's practice.
Now, if he comes out and shits the bed in his first 5 starts maybe you consider sending him down.
I'd like to see them use an opener for him. That way he can make 30 starts but only pitch about 140 innings. Covey wouldn't be my first choice but we'll see how things go down.
Yea I was 24 and at my first "real job". I didn't want to ruffle any feathers so I just had the game on on my headphones while doing admin stuff. My colleague who was much more senior basically said "fuck it you're the IT guy put it on in the conference room we'll all watch the end".
And we did, fun times. My dad was really sick at the time (RIP dad) and that memory gives me a lot of joy in what was otherwise a really bad few years.
yes the losing is penance for being bad fans. I sweat Greg are you sure you're not Ken Tremendous just pulling one of the ultimate long cons in the history of literature and culture? Like this is some deep undercover shit.
lmao you gotta respekt it.
Man, Maureen made a real nice spread
Cole slaw, kabobs, noodles and deviled eggs
I feel like The Fridge when he met Reagan
Filet mignon, baked potato, sour cream and bacon
I haven't felt this way since Superbowl Twenty
Lefty swings are inherently more aesthetic for some reason and Yoan's channels Griffey. I love it.
TA with the flip is nice, but Yoan with the saunter and drop pimp walk works too.
