  1. You could lip read Yost: "you threw him out on a fucking changeup". Just bad umping.
  2. lol wut? Why? Should not be thrown out.
  3. I think it's the quality of the opposition.
  4. Thank god but there is nothing positive to take away from Lopez so far this year.
  5. His offspeed is absolute garbage. Low A ball level.
  6. At least he's effectively wild right now. Jamming guys.
  7. Good lord he misses every spot by a foot or more.
  8. Yep, every start he has no fucking command and no secondary pitches.
  9. I'm about done with Lopez as a starter. It's a rebuild year but I'm not seeing any future here.
  10. he's going to get rocked if he's pitching with one pitch. we've seen this over and over and over.
  11. I think it's more of a there's been a problem with the left handed "power" hitters the Sox have brought in. Moncada doesn't seem to have much of a problem pulling it out to RF.
  12. Nevermind, he's missing right down the middle again.
  13. Lopez coming out at 97 with a little command for once.
  14. Alright we can't sweep and get back to -2 under .500 without winning today. SO LET'S WIN TODAY!
  15. Thought maybe I was missing the game. Slow down on your excitement ya'll.
  16. He's got what, 4 years of arb left? That said, if he does complete a miracle turnaround here you'd have to think he'd prefer to stay a Sox and sign a long term extension.
  17. He does look a lot like Verlander when he's pinging in that 97mph fastball up and on the corners. Not amazing secondary pitches just solid but when you have command like that you don't really need much more. His velocity late last year was certainly up but it wasn't up like it is now where he's throwing 96-97 well after 80 pitches and into the 8th and 9th innings. He's also cleaned up his problems with holding runners. Just an absolute miracle turnaround.
  18. Lucas Giolito is now 2nd in the AL among pitchers with 2.0 fWAR. He is 6th in all of baseball. What a remarkable turnaround.
