FWIW his wxOBA is creeping up, at .311 now, he's been around .330 or higher the last three weeks. He's making great contact. Defense remains good if not quite elite. Well deserved nod and what a find by Getz, even if he regresses to just a 95 wRC+ bat, he's still a decent starting option given his defense.

I was honestly asking. We stunk at it but I'd imagine there's someone out there that could potentially contribute this season.

Are there any college relievers that could play in MLB this year slotted around 60-90?

I don't think the Sox think he's a MLB SS. I think he probably settles in as a league average 3B, maybe a guy that hits 230/300/400 with OK defense, 1.5-3 WAR yearly. Not sure we got the best use out of his value, but I also can see why the Sox decided to make the move. Freeing up the roster spots is being proactive there and allows some flexibility as we approach the deadline.

we have too many iffy elbows already would be my take.

the thome stuff seems bs imo. just a media narrative.

this move just is doing s%*# to do s%*#. we will see how it pans out but yea, you don't expect much more than a gonzo type from 34th overall median, if that.

I don't get this one. Rather stack depth, seems a panicky "oh 40 man crunch" move.

my man

shut up smoke a j and chill.

Pad those stats boys.

Sox must make their drone shots available to the MLB.tv broadcast, imo Grate look real nice from certain angles, given that's the city skyline as much as the location.

Colson coming out of Indiana as a hoops guy / baseball guy is crazy. Scouting bias is def a thing even for athletic taller athletic playing up the middle.

OK colson.

He really wears out that 1B foul line.

OMG

lol the sweep happened schriff dog, just enjoy the damn moment tonight.

We just have a very BB% (and day to day BABIP) + HR heavy offense, even in this era. Defense and pitching mid. It's fun follow if not an elite or even good team. We'll take entertaining and fun.

friday night prolly out getting laid.

chick is so bad for a's I had to put on schriffdog. fml.

oof, colson. saw it twice in a row sitting there and popped that s%*# up.

we are the def of boom or bust, feast or famine.

Sam, like all good dirt bags, takes a good 15 seconds to toss all his gladiator armor to the ball boy.
