  1. Yea I'll take a athletic multisport athlete leader of a team like that any day at that spot. 98% of the time he never puts on the weight or skills needed but a couple times out of a hundred he turns into a good player imo.
  2. Christ for a second I thought we drafted the pudgy kid with the slap swing at the start of the video.
  3. Pick Rank FV Name Pos. Age School Strengths 10 12 45+ Billy Carlson SS 19.0 Corona HS (CA) Arm, Defense, Power Proj. 44 37 40+ Jaden Fauske C/1B/OF 18.6 Nazareth Academy (IL) Bat-to-Ball Skills 76 114 40 Kyle Lodise SS 21.7 Georgia Tech SS Range & Actions Carlson can really play defense and has an incredible arm, and his bat-to-ball performance on the showcase circuit was strong. His swing gives some scouts pause because of its length. Though not especially toolsy, Fauske was seen as one of the more polished high school hitters in the class. Both were picked right around where I ranked them. Lodise I see as more of a low-ceiling utility guy. I don’t know if Fauske will sign for an over-slot amount or not. If that’s the deal, then perhaps they reached a bit for Lodise to fit Fauske’s bonus into their pool
  4. 530 OPS in his last month in AAA. Gotta wonder if it's just over for him he should go play in Asia make a couple million and enjoy himself a bit before going into insurance.
  5. I like it and think baseball needs more stuff like this. Nobody complains that the Harlem Globetrotters aren't real basketball. Just get people out to an event and let them have fun while exposing the game to new audiences.
  6. Giolito has been dominant his last 5 starts or so. Lowered his ERA to 3.36 and his FIP to 3.69 (nice). Strikeouts are down but he's finally got his walk rate back under control.
  7. Was it largely a BPA draft? If so I like it, assuming their "BPA" wasn't just an underslot guy.
  8. Not really that interested in the lineup this year TBH. I'll probably watch 10 minutes and tune out. Same thing with the game itself. We have so much access to baseball media now it almost feels like a few days to unplug instead of tune in.
  9. those were decent picks imo, most those guys never even sniff the MLB in that range. Our problem has been overall not just missing on college bats imo.
  10. He sounds like that slap hitting Iglesias that was in Detroit and Boston. Decent player for a few years in his prime. That's all I got here. He's already 19.
  11. Starts at the top.
  12. lol the white sox have too many good starters according to stone.
  13. Stone is just talking out of his fucking ass someone stop him my goodness.
  14. he lost it three batters ago but no sense of urgency to win today from Will.
  15. about time we got some line drives. lol STFU stone. good lord.
  16. this guy is floating up 92mph heaters and junk and we can't make him pay.
