Our offensive production is worse than the Astros who have spent most of the time rebuilding and the Mariners who keep signing huge busts. The Red sox have 145 more fWAR than our offense over that 8.5 year span. They have 2.75x or so the amount of fWAR as us over that time span.

The white sox as a team have a -1.6 fWAR this year on offense.

If your scouts can get a couple "diamonds in the rough" in those first 10 picks and at the same time you save yourself money to come away with 1 over-slot guy, you can set yourself up for the best possible draft. Especially since we gave away our 2nd and 3rd round picks to massively upgrade the big league team and successfully turn ourselves into a winning team through free agency, you take a look at the overall picture and hope you get 2-3 players out of the full thing, or at least 1.

He's a lefty and it does get Gillaspie and LaRoche both out of the lineup against a lefty.

It shouldn't be used as a show of force in most situations, but you can clearly tell the guy felt in danger because of his body language. He has that right. If you're stupid enough to charge a cop, you're stupid enough to get shot. Why don't people think that's a logical way for both parties to act? This is, once again, the media trying to capitalize on a white cop/black victim story when in reality it's a cop going a bit too far with a non-compliant person. I'm not saying you're 100% sure you're going to use it, but that you don't pull it out around people as a threat if the situation doesn't warrant shooting them.
