  1. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 10:16 PM) I'm saying because he's a roider. That doesn't mean I'm enjoying it. My money from watching this is paying for it.
  2. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 10:12 PM) You must be loving watching him struggle. No. I wanted to watch this team succeed. I would have been cracking up at how wrong I was. It would have been the opposite laugh of 2013 when I thought we had that division in hand and man I'd have loved being wrong in that direction.
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) Why the f*** is Bonifacio not playing against a LHP? He is a complete waste of a roster spot if they're going to use him. This one actually makes sense to me. Beckham has the 3b slot and I'm ok with that he's earned it. Bonifacio should be taking LaRoche's spot in the order against lefties, with someone like Abreu or Cabrera moving to DH, but LaRoche is taking 1b while Abreu's hand is still hurting. I'm ok with this, it's an injury issue, that's what you've got to do. This is the time when LaRoche in the lineup against a LHP is ok. The problem is the other 15 games prior to May 20.
  4. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) He had to be juicing before. He isn't know obviously. I will not say it.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 09:55 PM) I know they don't want to panic, but they have got to get some more power on this roster. They really do miss Viciedo's power vs LHP To be fair though...WTF is he actually doing now?
  6. "Just another in a long line of soft-tossing left-handers who have handcuffed the Sox lineup" -SS
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 09:33 PM) We did the rundown! I wasn't watching, only 1 throw???
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 07:55 PM) And something that no one is talking about... Teams that add more, seem to take longer to gel. Maybe that's more of an indictment of the philosophy of trying to rebuild through FA and win-now trades than it is an issue with teams gelling.
  9. I keep seeing LaRoche is up, starting to pay attention, then remembering there's a lefty on the mound.
  10. Levar Burton throwing out first pitch. Has not answered my tweets begging him to wear a VISOR while doing so
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 02:35 PM) Ross Detwiler didn't get in the game and he was warming up. He is a LH reliever. Here are the line ups. Check the bullpen https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/606563887626878978 The confusion may be that Detweiler literally came off the DL yesterday morning.
  12. QUOTE (southside hitman @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 01:43 PM) The ERA is good but slightly concerning that is K rate is declining and BB rate is rising from last year. I guess that is to be expected of the jump from A+ to AA. Keep in mind the innings load, he pitch just over 80 last year and has pitched 47 so far this year. He's going to be pitching tired pretty quickly.
  13. Tom Thibodeau is on ESPN commenting on how to manage Kyrie Irvings minutes.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) This is why he needs to stay in rotation and quit playing games with Noesi. "Rodon being really good right now" doesn't change the need to give him extra rest.
  15. 59 pitches for Gallardo through 3, that's a pretty poor pace so we should likely see their middle relief in the 6th or 7th at the latest.
  16. Yeah, trying to quick bunt a Rodon fastball up in the zone was not a very intelligent play.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 08:48 PM) 4 ks in a row for the not crisp Rodon. I womder what will happen if he ever is crisp. Um, we don't have to wonder about that. We watched it last night.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 08:26 PM) Either Rodon has a dead arm, or there's a big red flag tonight with his fastball velocity disappearing. Last start, he was 92-98 MPH. Tonight, he's 89-91, and those aren't sliders. Okay, now he's up to 93. Just not getting out of the gate with his good stuff...well, we know our first inning history this year. I think part of the problem is the Rangers are being more patient than the Astros. 19 pitches, 10 strikes to open. Right now if you lay off Rodon's early stuff he has to throw strikes to set up the slider to put you away and he's inconsistent doing that.
  19. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 05:16 PM) Is he starting? I don't think there's ever been a successful starter after two TJs for more than a season. Yes.
  20. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 04:37 PM) why not Penny?? i mean why else would the sox have signed him. another names is Drabek, Carroll, Noesi I know it's only Charlotte but Drabek's numbers overall seem pretty impressive since he's been sent down. 2.36 ERA, WHIP barely above 1.0, K-rate better than it was when he was a top prospect with the blue jays.
  21. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 04:34 PM) Wonder what his career BABIP is. .295
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 4, 2015 -> 04:06 PM) You literally don't go into Sox winner threads because there is actually something positive in them. Like I said, all you're doing is trolling and making this site unreadable. You know exactly what you'd do.
