Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Is it possible that this injury is telling us something else - the same reason Bonds tore apart his arm in 1999?

You posted this after it was announced that Engel was out for another month.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
I'm used to seeing guys with hamstring injuries have setbacks but it's interesting to see your opinion that this is something being done incorrectly.- Engel suffers rehab setback, out 3+ weeks
Starting a thread in case people miss this in the Robert thread.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks

Glares.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
It "could" happen but for it to happen, Rodon and Lynn would probably need to be hurt, not pitching well.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
If Rodon and Lynn are still pitching well, I don't know what the path is that takes this team to being 8-10 games out. Even with their manager. The other teams in this division aren't going to win 99 games, and if those 2 are pitching well, the White Sox aren't going to drop substantially below .500.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Patiently awaits @ptatc for official guesses on what the surgery could be.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Naw, that could be "grade 1 strain, onto the 10 day IL, estimated 4-6 weeks", which is pretty much the best we already expected. I'd have been more worried with no update at all as that would mean they needed more tests or a specialist opinion or something like that. Could still be bad here, but no update would be worse.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Well at least we are getting an update today.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Just curious which Strength of Schedule listing you're looking at? Top 3 on Google all have the White Sox having an easier schedule than the Royals so far, one of them has the White Sox as the easiest in baseball so far. Interesting how much scatter there is to these. https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds http://powerrankingsguru.com/mlb/strength-of-schedule.php https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Kinda crappy to give no updates today when this was their message during the game yesterday:- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
No, I'm just noting that we're approaching the end of the business day and the team said there would be an update today. At the very least he had an MRI, so we should get some sort of statement.- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
ok, 4:00 local time, no official updates yet?- Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
If this was a grade 3 strain/tear, would that be season-ending?- NFL 2021 offseason thread
LOL the Texans. I didn't even pay attention to whatever they did.- Addressing the OF shortage (Robert Injury Spinoff)
You're assuming that someone other than Tony La Russa is in charge of the roster.- Addressing the OF shortage (Robert Injury Spinoff)
If the White Sox put Crochet on the table they'd have a competitive offer, and now we are talking about whether the secondary pieces satisfy them. The biggest problem is not whether or not the White Sox could assemble a winning offer. It's that Bryant has $16 million remaining on his deal as of now. The Cubs would be motivated to get something done soon to clear that salary - however, I find it difficult to believe that the White Sox organization that was out of money in January suddenly is willing to add that kind of money.- Addressing the OF shortage (Robert Injury Spinoff)
I don’t know that they’d say yes, but you’d have their attention with that offer today.- Addressing the OF shortage (Robert Injury Spinoff)
Yeah I thought about Polanco again too but he doesn't help the CF problem. I don't know who a good option is who can cover CF right now other than Engel. The worry right now is that we're 1 more injury away from having no choice but to do someone like Polanco. Eaton doesn't look great lately and doesn't exactly have a great record of health. A setback from Engel and Gonzalez and Hamilton become the starting CFs. Yuck.- COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
