All of that together suggests that we might have a need for a 2nd long relief guy maybe 1 times during the entire season...times when we need a long man to come in when BMac worked the day before and the entire bullpen is tired for some reason and can't contain the other team. Given our starting pitching, that seems pretty unlikely, unless someone gets hurt for a while.

Counting pitchers real quick...Bmac, Hermanson, Jenks, Cotts, Politte..that makes 10 guys counting the big 5. So even if we carried 2 lefties...we'd only have 11 pitchers. So it's possible both Gload and Borchard could make the team, thanks to the luxury of the long man in BMac, if none of the righties stand out much in ST.

If he was tipping pitches down the stretch...and still destroying Boston and Texas...he might not give up a hit this season.

Another update: Oh, and 7 U.S. soldiers died yesterday too. This has been a BAD couple of days over there.
