  1. The other obvious thing with KC is that they don't beat themselves. They will come in well prepared and execute their game plan. It will be up to the opponent to be better. The Bills made a couple of fairly minor errors, but they were enough that they couldn't overcome it. They also had a notable pair of missing guys in their secondary, that clearly hurt a lot, it opened up the passing game a lot for KC. Had those guys been healthy I think that may turn the game. But other than that, you have to recognize when they're ready for a play and not keep running it.
  2. If it’s behind a paywall that basically makes adding a link even more important.
  3. Dude add a link come on. https://bsky.app/profile/worldbytenews.bsky.social/post/3lgq6zdq3qz22
  4. I could believe a salary cap is possible if the owners gave the players an honest and legitimate guarantee of a much larger revenue share. I can’t believe the owners will do that. I believe that if they try to enforce a salary cap without a major concession on the players side the players will walk away without a season. I don’t believe the owners or the players would do that. Too much money at stake, and would require nearly all the owners to stay on board. People who are lobbying for stadiums or gambling licenses - the last thing they would want is to further undermine public relations.
  5. They could improve on that number but take a lead into the 7th fewer times.
  6. However, Chris Getz spent a good amount of young assets acquiring several of these "relievers" in trades and they're out of 40 man roster spots. Adding someone you're taking a shot on, with any deal other than a NRI, requires you to drop someone that they either seem hesitant to drop or that they spent resources to acquire. With the bullpen, they also would need a 26 man roster spot if the guy made the team, which could require them to move one of Getz's weird bullpen acquisitions out of the way.
  7. The obvious problem was - THAT PLAY CALL WAS STUPID THEY HAD ALREADY STOPPED YOU ON A SIMILAR PLAY EARLIER IN THE GAME. DON'T LEAVE IT UP TO THE REFS TO DETERMINE, YOU LEFT THEM A 50-50 CALL WHERE THE REPLAY WAS INDETERMINATE. HAND THE BALL OFF TO A RUNNING BACK OR ROLL JOSH OUT. COME ON. Nance was literally told in the game prep by the Chiefs that they knew Allen liked to go off tackle when given the short yardage spot, they demonstrated they could stop it on the goal line earlier in the game. You could see that they knew how to stack the spots he was going to. Do something different!!!!
  8. There's been a bunch of articles suggesting it might take a 4 to 5 team deal to make the parts work. The Bulls would clear Lavine in this, and Beal could be bought out in the 2026-2027 season. Add in draft pick compensation and it accomplishes two goals for the Bulls.
  9. I don't think Robert knows how to have a "good attitude". No one ever taught him good habits in the minors or in his first few years in the majors, he wasn't coached and no one wanted to mess with that because when he was healthy it worked. He thinks having a good attitude is being in good shape then allowed to do his own thing because he's so physically dominant.
  10. Would they even allow the shirt to be signed?
  11. Strouds offensive line was also awful.
  12. I continue to believe that the lockout will last about 3 months again, because that’s how long they will go without losing games. Not only is there too much money coming in for them to miss the revenue, but they’d be crazy to threaten revenue growth that way again.
  13. I would like for Chris Getz to un-sign Rojas and sign one of the 3 or 4 cheaper guys I listed a couple pages ago who have much more recent experience playing shortstop at an adequate level. Or alternatively, for Chris Getz to be smarter in general in the future and recognize areas on his roster that are deeper and areas that are not, which apparently he is massively struggling with.
  14. The real fun of it was he was called out on the air by Steve Stone, who would now have to call his games and even be on the cramped team plane with him if he was ever called up.
  15. Just curious, did they have restrictions on what people could have autographed?
  16. There’s a rotation opening. Don’t tempt Getz.
  17. No, but we used to think of things like this as trivializing the holocaust.
  18. At least JR seems to have gotten over his issues with the holocaust.
  19. Wasn't he one of the obvious sticky stuff guys who fell apart right after the ban? Should fit in perfectly with our pitching coach.
  20. 2022: “we don’t want Vaughn in the Of long term but he could hold down the fort there this year.” December 2023: “You can’t blame Katz for that pitching staff when the defense was so bad. Look, we are going to add TWTW and improve the defense. This will help the pitching and make this a place where people will come as free agents to play in front of that better defense and with our leaders.” Jan 25: “This guy has TWTW and can hold down the fort at shortstop for a few months.” December 2025: “sure the pitching staff disappointed this year but you can’t blame Katz and Bannister when the defense was so bad. But, this is why we had to pay a premium price for a defense first SS like _____. Putting this kind of defense out there will help the pitchers develop this heat and help us sign better free agents who want to play in front of this defense.”
  21. The hope was that a top 30 prospect might be able to hit well enough there that his defensive shortcomings would be overwhelmed. While Meidroth gets on base, his 7 home runs last year wouldn’t overcome defensive shortcomings at SS, he’d have to at least be an average fielder there.
