  1. and yes, I'm aware that they are in the race NOW, I meant THEN.
  2. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) i've watched the indians all year. unfortunately they are the only games i get regularly on television. what was happening to them then and what is happening now is entirely different. sizemore's error the other day is a great example. something like that hasn't happened all year. how many indian games do you watch? they had a chance to climb back into the race coming off of the all-star break and they laid down for four. Looked like they were pressing then too.
  3. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) i think for the first time this year the indians are pressing a little bit. were you not watching baseball in april, may or june?
  4. other teams' fans just can't stand the fact the White Sox are still in first place that's why you build up a huge lead and beat the teams you're supposed to beat early in the season.
  5. because either Boston or New York is guaranteed to lose 67 games (both have 65 tonight), one win gets us a WC tie no matter what.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Gotta love all the pep-talk threads. Considering there's 9,500 of your negative posts on this site, I find it pretty refreshing.
  7. I would like to see him get through at least the 6th.
  8. I like the way we are swinging the bats in general tonight though
  9. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) Even though I am one of the few who have no ill will towards the guy, is it too much to ask to sweep Detroit, have TB win just one against Cleveland at least, and celebrate on Thursday in front of Maggs? It is too much to ask. It's incredibly hard to sweep a four-game road series.
  10. QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) hey look big papi....its real papi lolol
  11. If I'm Ozzie I don't take count out of this game period, no matter how many pitches he has in the ninth
  12. the good thing about the wind knocking every ball down is that the twins are gonna have a hard time hitting any home runs
  13. let's worry about this game and let everything else take care of itself as long as we win, the magic number goes down and that is music to my ears
  14. we are really letting lohse off the hook here luckily, the twins aren't hitting
  15. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Papi is up with 2 on, one out for boston k'ed looking thank god
