  1. I've heard that the .375 batting average in the series is kind of skewed, like he didn't hit for squat with men on base, and that his hits mostly came when the games were already well decided.
  2. he was joking around when he said he was close to picking the sox. That whole segment was a joke, IMO
  3. if Konerko leaves for the Angels?!?!?!?
  4. Two players share the birthday May 27th, 1968 Unbelievable coincidence that the other one is Bagwell....
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) He said they asked.. not confirmed. my bad.
  6. It had to be a '59er, in my opinion. Those guys played in a series, and are a notch above anyone else in the last 80 seasons of Sox baseball.
  7. this is especially good because Silvy and Carmen were ranting and raving this morning that the due date was in the middle of the series... thank god for modern medicine...
  8. per Bruce Levine on ESPN 1000 just now, they induced labor and had the baby already...
  9. can we camp out at the park and wait for that time? can we stop by the box office? Are we relegated to just calling a busy signal for the rest of our lives? what actions can be taken!??!?!?
  10. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) Good question. I'm sure a very small % get rejected for bad cards, duplicate orders etc. When and where do those go back up? Yeah, that was my main question. About duplicate orders/whatnot.
  11. do they hold anything back to sell day of game? What about any cancellations, etc. Do those tickets get released? Can you camp out? Etc. etc.
  12. How f***ing hard is it to put a one-paragraph update up on whitesox.com "we're working on it you'll get your tickets." I STILL don't know how many WS tickets you can buy either, and it seems like that info is still completely vague across the board. Anyone know for sure?
  13. QUOTE(Funkman7 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 11:24 AM) Yeah that's a good point. Why didn't the White Sox have a lottery? I guess our franchise isn't exactly experienced with these things. More like wasn't prepared for this type of thing
  14. I still can't get past the word verification
  15. there's really no way at this point, is there all because I can't see a f***ing word
  16. this whole process f***ing blows
  17. If you're not on hold already guys, don't even try to call. I've called almost all fifty states several times. The phone is done.
  18. I couldn't figure out anywhere HOW MANY WS tickets I could've gotten with Season Tickets. Was it ONE ticket for four games? FOUR tickets for four games? ONE ticket for one game? That's part of the reason why I didn't jump onboard, but it was mostly cuz I couldn't get a hold of ANYONE because the line was busy and I didn't trust this whole process to get worked out correctly. Plus, I can't really afford it and I couldn't go to even 20-30 games next year much less 80 and I would feel uncomfortable scalping tix to recoup costs.
  19. on whitesox.com the offer is no longer available so I'm thinking they got all the orders they care to get....
  20. if this series goes seven, it'll be such a blessing for the white sox in terms of f***ing over the opponents rotation. I'm so happy it went at least six, because if it ended at 5 the Astros were going to be able to set their rotation any way they wanted to.
  21. 25,000 people in the park for a Tuesday game vs. the Royals? aren't we being a little naive? Sure, the paid attendance will be 25,000, but....
  22. The Cubs have a lot of long term problems. They shot the wad in terms of payroll in the last couple of seasons and are fairly tied down in terms of contracts right now. They have literally no flexibility. If Wood and Prior continue their "OW OW MY ARM" routine, there's no way they'll even be competitive the next few seasons.
  23. when he said that, I think all of us were thinking of retiring as Sox fans, we were so sick with disgust at what was happening to our team
