  1. Hawk just said he voted for PK and that it was the first time he's ever done it. In essence, screw you Pods and AJ
  2. Does anyone have this problem with Soxtalk? I will read a couple of threads (I usually go from bottom to top in each forum), but eventually I'll leave a thread and realize that a bunch of threads that I've read are now marked as unread.
  3. I had a dream last night that the Sox finished the season with 103 wins. It was pretty vivid and, in the dream, they were this same exact team and went on an unbelievable run. So, maybe I have some supernatural powers? We'll see.
  4. In retrospect, I should have seen it coming, but I didn't at all and it was amazing.
  5. Wow, the final scenes of season 3 of Breaking Bad!
  6. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) I'm clearly no 'foodie' but I'm totally ok with the processed 'meat' from Taco Bell. If they told me it was made out of cat, I would still eat it. If they killed the cat in front of me, I would still eat it. Short of it being made out of humans, I'll eat any animal that tastes good. I might not try it if I knew from the beginning that it was a cat, but if you snuck it by me and told me later what it was and I enjoyed it, I would not surprise myself if I ate it again.
  7. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 04:13 PM) This. She isn't unattractive, just has an odd face...or something...I can't really put my finger on it. In any case, I don't understand why so many actresses (movies and TV) are put on a level above "ordinary" women. It's not uncommon for me to see women in my everyday life that I think are far better looking than a lot of the actresses/celebrities held up as paragons of beauty and elegance. This is especially true when you consider the amount of money and free time these actresses/celebrities can dedicate to maintaining or improving their looks. I agree with your second paragraph. And in regards to the Transformers girl, it's her nose that's weird.
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) Nah dont worry Milkman, "penis stabbing" is a common search term I'm now very tempted to search that
  9. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) It's not illegal to google chloroform Heaven help me if I'm ever accused of murder, as I'm sure there are one or two things you could pull off of my search history that could coincidentally look pretty bad.
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) Not true. Circumstantial evidence alone is sufficient for a conviction as long as you prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Don't believe everything you see on TV. Don't believe everything you see on TV is my exact point.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) That isn't true. You absolutely can convict someone based on circumstantial evidence. Well, a jury can pretty much go any way they want. You're not supposed to go solely on circumstantial stuff, though.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 03:11 PM) i would admit i was wrong, and i probably would dig up this thread too. so on both of those accounts where you are pretty much directly referring to me, you are wrong. No, I'm pretty much referring to Facebook. There are about 50 straight statuses about it. I didn't even consider who made the fist post when I typed that.
  13. I voted a ton of times for Podsednik and AJ when they were on the final ballots, but I don't think I'll vote even once for Konerko. It's nothing against PK, I just don't give a s*** about this game and whether or not he goes. The whole ASG annoys me, from the voting to every team needing a representative to the fact that it weighs into the World Series for some stupid reason. I don't think I've even watched the last two games or any of the ASB festivities. And seriously, if I were Konerko, I'd rather just go home for those three days instead of having to take part in such a farcical game. Sorry to take away from the point of the thread, I think I just needed to vocalize (so to speak) my reasoning for not caring.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 02:58 PM) I believe the Washington Post did something like an 11 part series on that story a couple of years ago. It was amazing how the story died once Condit was cleared. It should have been the opposite. Because nobody gave a s*** that she was murdered. They cared that it might have been a U.S. Senator that did it. Once he was cleared and his career completely obliterated, there was no point in caring anymore. Now she was just a dead girl instead of a dead girl at the hands of someone important. In this case, what happens if they find bulletproof evidence a year from now that exonerates the mother? Do you think anyone will give a s***? No, they will not. No media coverage will pop up because nobody will care that a child was murdered unless it were done by the parent. Nobody will start a thread on it and people won't mention it in their Facebook statuses.
  15. I'll be honest and say that I haven't followed this case in the slightest, but now I'm inundated with it so I'm going to comment. It seems that a lot of the evidence was circumstantial. It sucks, but you can't convict someone because of that. I have a feeling people are so up in arms about this because of the media coverage, which is blatantly running it as though there is no doubt that the mother did it. That sells. Remember how everybody on Earth was sure that Gary Condit murdered Chandra Levy? And why was that? It was because the media shoved it down our throats as though it were a forgone conclusion. No trial would have even been necessary, as he was guilty. No doubt about it. He lost his reelection bid, and I'm pretty sure it was in direct correlation to the Levy case. Oh, then his name is cleared. Apology? f*** no. He was probably lucky if the news of his clearing was even a blurb on any station or in any newspaper. So forgive me if I'm not going to jump all over this woman. She's obviously a scumbag of immense proportions, but they couldn't prove that she murdered her daughter. So she walks, and that's how the system is supposed to work. It's guilty until proven innocent in the America and especially in the media, unfortunately.
  16. I like those quotes from Dunn. He understands what it means, unlike some guys like Soriano.
  17. Does anyone here believe in Bigfoot? I don't, but it's definitely very interesting. I only ask because there is absolutely nothing on TV right now, so I'm watching some show on Animal Planet about it. It's kind of ridiculous how sure the hosts of the show are that it exists. I can understand the belief that some of them could be out there, but their outright faith that it most certainly does is kind of absurd. I just figure that, at some point, a body would be found or a hunter would accidentally stumble upon one and put it down eventually.
  18. QUOTE (whitem0nkey @ Jul 4, 2011 -> 12:56 PM) I love the B&B show, but I dont like the full blown hate like how Dan has or other fans towards JP. we have to realize that ozzie always has and continues to love that lead off type of a player. and that's why JP is in the role he has. I think Juan should end up winning the AL player of the week award. This week, and will see if ti continues, Ozzie has been smarter than all the haters. Why has Ozzie been smarter than the haters? Because Pierre has finally had a good week after 14 bad to mediocre ones?
  19. Or why do they all speak English? Why did some have Scottish accents? Why was the bird decepticon able to drool? These are all valid questions, but it's pointless to ask because in the end, it's still a movie about alien robots.
  20. One thing I can say for sure is that the 3D in Dark Of The Moon was completely unnecessary. The only part where I felt that it added anything (or even noticed it) was the sky diving scene.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:16 AM) yeah, but it was a decepticon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Decep...ansformers_film I have such a hard time following the Transformers movies because of the constant indecipherable action and the characters obviously being pretty similar looking. I'm fairly positive that Ironhide was the one I liked the most in the first movie, but I honestly am not too sure
  22. I just watched the notorious "fly" episode. I liked it.
  23. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode over the past two years thanks to syndication on Comedy Central.
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 07:55 AM) No he wasnt. Ironhide has been a suped up GMC Pickup in all three movies http://www.wallpaperez.info/movie/Transfor...onhide-302.html He identified himself as Que in the movie, but on the IMDB it says Que/Wheeljack. He was rather forgettable IMO. Not in a bad way, just kind of there. Wasn't there a tank in the first one?
