  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 07:55 AM) No he wasnt. Ironhide has been a suped up GMC Pickup in all three movies http://www.wallpaperez.info/movie/Transfor...onhide-302.html He identified himself as Que in the movie, but on the IMDB it says Que/Wheeljack. He was rather forgettable IMO. Not in a bad way, just kind of there. Wasn't there a tank in the first one?
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 11:23 PM) The only character I haven't been able to hate is the son. Ah yeah, but that's pretty obvious. I should've mentioned him too, though.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 11:21 PM) Yes it was. Bay couldnt resist injecting his patented cheesiness, but good lord was the fighting awesome. My favorite scene was the highway chase when the 3 escalades came after Sentinel Prime You'd be the guy to ask these questions. 1.) Was Ironside the tank in the first one? 2.) Who was the old Autobot that gave the soldiers the weapons he made? 3.) Was Stratosphere even in it? I saw that he was supposed to be, and voiced by Uncle Phil, so I was looking for him. EDIT: Apparently that was the video game.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) Hating Jesse Pinkman is impossible. Are you kidding? I hate him the most after Skyler. Hank is the only character I'd say I don't hate at all.
  5. That was the best Transformers IMO.
  6. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 12:59 PM) Yes - the alien that was dog-like in Alien3 and the "Pred-aliens" in the AvP movies. I can't even remember Alien 3 and forgot all about the "Predalien" in the recent ones.
  7. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) First, this is a great thread. I watched Bull Durham because for years I heard how awesome it was. I thought it was meh...it wasn't bad, but it's not the type of movie that if I see it on while skimming channels that I'd stop to watch it... Same for Scarface and Godfather. After years of hearing how awesome these movies were, I watched them and thought they were meh. I liked Godfather, but I didn't like it nearly as much as Goodfellas. As for Scarface, I thought it f***ing dumb. While there are some classic lines in this movie...it just wasn't good to me. :/ Scarface is way overblown. For some reason, rappers thing it's the greatest thing ever, but it's just a decent movie. I disagree with you on The Godfather, though. I liked the original Scarface more, to be honest.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 11:37 AM) This is supposedly the plot of the Alien "prequel" Ridley Scott, get your ass moving. I want to see this NOW Do the aliens take on the characteristics of the beings from whose chest they break out of or something?
  9. Backtracking to the topic of Zach Galifianakis for a second, I highly recommend It's Kind Of A Funny Story to anyone. It's semi-serious, semi-comedic. He's very good in it, but it comes across to me that he might basically be playing himself which is sad when you know what the movie is about.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 10:33 AM) I saw it. There was some good stuff, but it isn't the legendary movie it has been turned into. It is a romantic comedy with sports. Eight Men Out is WAY better. Exactly what I said when I saw it a few months ago. Highly overrated.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 10:25 AM) Sorry, I didn't have the address to Ozzie's basement. Any idea where Oney's pants are?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 09:50 AM) BTW, just to help you out.... http://maps.google.com/maps?q=chicago+sun+...l=en&tab=wl
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 12:39 AM) Which Guillen son wrote the review? I can understand it, so none. Here's the problem with Cowley. He's trying to be the new Mariotti, so we need to do the same thing and ignore him. It's as simple as that. I made the mistake of reading this thread because it was posted in PHT, and it infuriated me. That's the exact response he's looking for. Is it against the new rules to suggest that I would punch Cowley square in the balls if I saw him in person and then kick him in the throat while he was writhing on the ground?
  14. This thread just reminds me of how many movies I have seen. The only ones I can say for sure that I haven't watched that tons of people have are The Fast & The Furious movies (and I never will). Netflix changed my life I have definitely made an effort to see all of the movies that I'm "supposed" to have seen through it.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:31 PM) Anybody ever seen "Super"? Ellen Page has to be the most underrated actress in the industry. She's outstanding. I'd like to underrate her.
  16. I'm in the middle of Breaking Bad season 3, and it's the best so far. And his wife is somehow becoming more and more of a b****, which was a tough thing to do.
  17. Haha, responses from the two guys I expected and more.
  18. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) It was pretty clear as to what I meant when I said it. Sorry if it flew over your head, and just to clarify, I meant people 'in the biz', i.e. whose opinions matter on a broader scale than some random fan on a Sox message board How many people on here post horrible predictions that end up being incorrect? I'm sure the same people that said Dunn would flop. LOL OK, it flew over my head apparently. Next time, you might want to clarify what you mean so that it doesn't have to fly over the heads of dumber people. Instead of just asking for a link to someone saying it, say that you want a link to a writer or something. Of course you can just continue changing your request after the fact when proven wrong.
  19. This was one of those few games where I didn't catch any of it at all. Good to see that Pierre had a nice day, though.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:32 PM) Like a baboon's a** on her face. No no, this one.
  21. I can't stand Julia Roberts. She seems so damn fake. The way Family Guy mocked her seemed to be right on the money.
  22. I always thought that he was one of the more obvious juicers. I understand that he tested positive for a banned substance, but that was "supposedly" not a steroid.
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) Yeah I was duped into thinking he was a star of sorts. Probably because I was fan of 2 guys a girl and a pizza place. Although Simmons makes a bunch of terrible points in there. First, Adventureland was a good movie, equal to, if not better than the overrated Dazed and Confused (oh! they're smoking pot! an instant classic!) Also, his list of 24 stars is atrocious. Galifinakis? Really? I guy that's never headlined his own movie is a star? He's not even funny (seriously, go watch his "standup," it's brutal). Also, Affleck? Really? Are they friends? Did he ignore that whole decade or so where he was considered one of the biggest flops in hollywood history? Or is it just because thay bohth hail frohm fackin' beantown? And Gyllenhaal? Ugh. I get he's not saying the "best" actors out there, but come on. Gyllenhaal is basically Reynolds right? Didn't Prince of Persia flop just as much as the Green Hornet? We seem to disagree on a lot of things. I think his standup is hilarious. And Jake Gyllenhaal is a legitimately good actor. He's not great, but he's worlds better than Ryan Reynolds.
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 11:47 AM) I liked how much of a wuss the main character was in District 9, because he created a bunch of conflict when he could have fixed things. I still love watching when he gets in the Mech and destroys the gang. The bullet magnet was just awesome That's true, and it directly led to the events of the film. But he had all that power by the time he escaped from the lab. I'm just a big fan of revenge, I guess.
