  1. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:58 PM) You win the internet, collect your prize at the ticket office. You can say whatever you like. That's fine. But you mocked the entire board and then you provided a personal attack when called out on it. I believe that's worthy of a suspension, but that's not my call.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:54 PM) Milkman being a douche, thats new. I'm fine with attacking the players, its 100% on them. Having a panic attack over how we should fire everyone involved with the organization is comical to me. Personal attack after mocking the entire board. Just saying!
  3. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) Clarification on the Vizquel steal attempt with Pierre at the plate in the 6th...According to Ozzie, it was Vizquel who missed the sign and not Pierre. Vizquel thought the hit and run was on, when in fact, it was not. So even Omar with mental mistakes right now. He also was the one who was supposed to be covering first on the bunt in the 6th...Vizquel was pretty much the reason we lost today if you ask me...everyone getting in the suckfest this season. I also noticed that Vizquel barely ran at all for that force out he hit into. I wondered if it wasn't some sort of statement, perhaps that he as a clubhouse leader is also sick of the state of the team.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:30 PM) I'm not going to defend Pierre because he sucks and I never wanted him on the Sox but Podsednik was also awful and if you haven't noticed Pods isn't even in the MLB right now which says a little bit about his talent. Pods was horrific on the basepaths during his last tenure with the White Sox (not this year Juan Pierre bad but truly dreadful). And the farthest I'll go to compliment Pods as a hitter is to say he wasn't terrible. The real culprit behind our awful LFs is that our manager likes awful left handed hitters with no power who have "speed" (even though they kill us on the base paths). Get rid of Ozzie and maybe we can get a real LF. But he would be if he were on the Sox Seriously, Pierre is just the next guy in line on the Sox who won't be in baseball after we drop him.
  5. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:26 PM) No one on this board, no one in the press, no one in baseball thought this team, as constructed, would be this horrible. So how the hell can anyone fault KW for not knowing it was bad? What I see each game is a lack of preparedness, a lack of intensity, a lack of fundamentals, and a lack of confidence. None of these have anything, whatsoever, to do with the GM. Because it is a cumulative issue. It isn't about just this season. KW has been in charge for a long time and it's been almost all disappointment. And it's great that people thought it'd be a good team. People have thought that he's put together good teams a few times, and his teams have failed much more often than they've succeeded. It's time to cut this snake's head off and just keep working your way down.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) I don't understand the need to infer what was not written. I think the state of the 2011 White Sox is a collaborative effort. I, however, have stated my undying love for Kenny on many an occassion, and I am finally posting that he's on my hot seat and he needs to be heald accountable for his off-the-wall spending. Nicely played I wasn't just saying that stuff in reference to you, though. These types of threads always lead to people getting into arguments over who needs to be blamed more. I'm saying that it doesn't even matter at this point. Clean house.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 4, 2011 -> 04:17 PM) fire everyone except the players since you can't I guess? Even though its 100% on the players? Sounds about right. there aren't enough whambulances in the world for this site Jenksy attacking fellow posters instead of the vastly underachieving team. That's new
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) If you don't start making moves, you run the risk of alienating a very, very upset fan base to begin with. This is why I'm sure that something will happen very soon.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) Fire Everyone from KW on down. The organization as a whole has had zero direction, zero character, and zero identity. This. And if I were KW, I would hope that I'd have the integrity to resign.
  10. I don't understand the obsession with having to put the blame on a single entity. When someone says it's Ozzie's fault, another person has to argue that it's more on KW. When someone puts it on KW, someone says it's more on the individual players, etc. Who cares who's got the most share of the blame? I certainly don't anymore. This team has underachieved far too much for far too long. Nobody's job should be safe at this point, not a single person in the front office/coaching staff/lineup. I don't give a s*** if Ozzie Guillen deserves one half of a percentage point more of the blame than Williams. I just don't give a flying f*** about either of them or any of the players and coaches. They can all get f***ed and I hope to see some wholesale changes as soon as possible.
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) I want and expect a firing before Seattle series begins no excuses. Oh, I think we'll see something.
  12. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) HAH! WRONG! FLY OUT RIGHT SIDE! Haha, this made me laugh.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) Does anyone doubt that the Sox will score 6-8 runs this afternoon and end internal talks of Walker being fired, and secure this man's job, causing us to all rip our hair out? That's exactly what I think will happen.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) They can kiss my buttocks. They knew what I meant. lol. And this must be happening when I'm drinking. Which is all the time. Not right now. I need a break from that stuff. I'm talking about the board in general with that other stuff.
  15. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:47 PM) IIRC, somebody posted this on WSI a long time ago. Just recently found it again. Guess it still fits... February: Spring training just started. Give them some time to get in shape. March: How can you complain about the Sox when they haven't even had a real game yet? April: It's only a few games into the season. Give the team a chance to get going before you criticize. May: It's still early in the season. Wait until summer gets here to judge them. June: You can't really gauge a team until the all-star break, so give them a break. July: Who knows what will happen at the trade deadline. Wait until you see what they pick up before you complain. August: Who knows what will happen at the waiver deadline. Wait until you see what they pick up before you complain. September: Oh sure, it's easy to complain in hindsight. Where were you before the season began? October: The offseason hasn't begun yet. Wait and see who they sign this offseason. November: It is still early in the offseason. Why jump out and sign a bunch of overpriced free agents? You can't buy a championship you know! December: Give them until Soxfest at least to make any big moves. January: Maybe you can at least wait until spring training begins to b**** about the team! I have been talking about this cycle for a while now, although admittedly, I've never put it down in such perfect terms. That is incredible.
  16. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) That was like a 14-inning game against the Red Sox right? Single down the third base line? I'm pretty sure it was about 18 innings and on a very hot, sunny day.
  17. And I'm pretty sure that those pictures will eventually leak.
  18. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:38 PM) Ha, good catch To be clear, I agree with what you were saying. Waterboarding must have had some part in the gathering of the information that led to Osama bin Laden, since he had multiple opportunities to flat-out deny that it did and he passed.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) lol. That's a good one. But I'm glad you pointed that out. I didn't even realize it. It's actually rampant on the board Plus there's the obvious misuse of "then/than" and such, but my biggest pet peeve is when someone uses "dominate" as an adjective.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 4, 2011 -> 11:39 AM) I'd argue he infers the second, otherwise he would have just said "no." Edit: Sorry, I meant the first statements bmags makes. The second is supported since he affirms that they were waterboarded (among other things). I think he infers the first though, otherwise he could have just said no, waterboarding didn't give us anything useful. Since I'm being the grammar police today, I'll also clarify this He can't infer something by saying it. He can only imply. The person hearing it is the one who would infer.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) I just can't get serious about grammar on a message board. And I get those that do. There's certain things that drive me crazy. I'm content as long as I can produce a post that people can understand and that doesn't have me coming across as a total f***ing idiot. lol. Sorry, I couldn't understand a word of that.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 4, 2011 -> 12:03 PM) I will be there and not looking forward to the possible result. But, maybe being there in person will somehow bring good Karma to this Sox rabble If the poster "sin city" is right, then we can't lose if you show up.
  23. Yes, that's the stuff I meant. I have always wondered why they have a statue for him.
  24. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:14 AM) Laugh all you want...but when this team saw a crowd of only 20,000 there tonight, it had to be demotivating. If the fans aren't going to come out for a key game against a top divisional rival, why even try? Crowds like this insure that we will not contend this year. Haha. Aw...cute
  25. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ May 4, 2011 -> 08:16 AM) Disagree with thread, show the sox some love. They've made what looked like great investments. Although there was obvious risk, they threw their money out there to give us fans a great team. Lets continue to support them so that we can continue to see great white sox baseball. I think and hope that this is slathered in sarcasm.
