  1. I'm sure glad that Garcia is a control pitcher now. God, he's so f***ing good.
  2. Haha, the crowd really went nuts for Anderson's single. Podsednik really sucks at bunting.
  3. As a "control pitcher," Garcia absolutely fails. He's probably the worst control pitcher in history. He needs his stuff in order to be effective, and he just doesn't have that fastball anymore. I don't know why he's lost his velocity, whether it's chemical or from overuse, but he's just not a good pitcher without it. I remember before this season started, I was happy we'd have the opportunity to trade Garland or Garcia for something valuable. But now, it seems like we'll have a tough time trying to get them off of our hands. And I don't want either of them after this year if they're both going to be their current selves. And we definitely don't have the best 5-man rotation in baseball history.
  4. Can someone tell me exactly what pitches Montero throws, and how fast he can throw his fastball?
  5. Yeah, anything that gets Pablo into the game is fine by me.
  6. Let's make this thread even more useful and talk about junk food we used to have as kids. Those ice cream bars were delicious. I used to get them all the time. Does anyone remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle like breakfast pie things? I can't even explain them more than that.
  7. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 02:29 AM) Pain pill Brett Favre? Your other pick Deacon Jones would laugh at that favre pick, he would laugh at any quarterback getting picked. I got a chance to talk to Deacon a few years back( he was in town for mike ditkas golf tournament and I was a bartending) and he HATES quarterbacks. He was explaining to me how much the league has changed since his day to protect the quarterback. Deacon was a bad dude. He blurted out Mother f***er every few words, he also had deformed fingers ,probably from his playing days. Get out of here with those pansy picks. Iron men, HA. Dick Butkus would rip them a part, spit at them and curse out the next 3 generations of their future families. you need a history lesson son. I really hope you are not a bear fan. Take this quote from a former NFL player. http://espn.go.com/sportscentury/features/00014131.html check this out It's a joke, son. Take it easy.
  8. I hope Martinez is ready for a 79 mph Freddy Garcia fastball right in the back.
  9. QUOTE(Wsoxmike59 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) Hey Fox! You mean Victor Martinez is still the Player of the Game?? Whatever! Rob Mackowiak was safe on the play at the plate on Ozuna's hit in the 11th. Iguchi made it a moot point by singling in Pablo. Take that Fox! Hand out your player of the game before we have a chance to hit in our half of the bonus panels. Well, he still had the best individual game. And any jinx that goes in the Sox' favor is just fine with me.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) But I thought Martinez beat us today? Oh wait... I realize what you're doing, but I'm not gonna get into a pissing match with you. And V-Mart was the entire offense today for the Tribe.
  11. 2005, that's pretty much all I can say. Oh, and Ozuna is this team's sparkplug.
  12. Ump had a better view than we did. Terrible call, fatass.
  13. What the hell are you swinging at, Mack?
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) This is nowhere near as bad as some of the games we gave away this year. We've put ourselves in a situation where we have to rely on our 3-4-5 hitters way too much. True, but there's no denying we beat ourselves today. So many blown opportunities.
  15. We beat ourselves yet again today. I'm actually getting used to this.
