  1. This isn't a Korean comic, but I think it's pretty funny.
  2. How much were they? Is it like a scrapbook sort of deal or what?
  3. QUOTE(HineyBird @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) i'm not comparing the sox to the bears that would be very difficult considering they play different sports. Why such anger? Punch a pillow go for a jog let it out sister Dude, take it easy because you're gonna end up getting banned. And I'm just warning you, because it's obvious that they'll be waiting for a reason. I'm not making a threat.
  4. I'd really like to see the Bears make the playoffs with a 6-10 or 7-9 record. That'd be fantastic.
  5. C'mon, who said the first one? I think I can say with absolute certainty that his option will not be picked up.
  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) The acting in both were bad ( first one was awful). But to say it was f***ing terrible is asinine. You have to expect bad acting in horror movies, it is almost a given. The ending in the first is 100x better imo than figuring out the ending 27 minutes through and wasting your time over the next hour. For every movie there are people like you that hate a movie... even if the movie is a master piece ( not saying saw is even close). I hate that people think a movie is a masterpiece just because it surprises them at the end. Sure, it was surprising because you had no way of ever knowing the end, which was ridiculous. They could've had a grizzly bear be the killer in the end, and people would think it was great because they never saw it coming.
  7. I have a ton of wrestling theme songs on my itunes library.
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) You forgot to add in, aging and 'part-time'. There is no way you will ever get a full season out of el duque at this point of his career. Well, then you just throw in Marte and I think we're square.
  9. Doesn't Cincinnati love over-paid, under-achieving pitchers? El Duque for Adam Dunn.
  10. I don't think anyone is really underestimating what Carl did. He had a huge part of this championship run, but now he's not needed. We thank him, but we also send him on his way.
  11. Anyone have an idea about where Carl will end up next year? I really do wonder what will happen to him.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) In terms of Hermanson and El Duque... Both of these players have struggled with injuries this year. However, every year once the season begins, there turns out to be several major teams in dire need of bullpen help (Think the Yankees and Red Sox this year). If you were considering trading either Hermanson or El Duque...if they can come out and have a solid April next year, their trade value would be exponentially higher than it is right now. Balta, why can't I save that picture in your sig? It just won't open after I save it.
  13. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) that's why i started it! I'm not trying to piss you off or anything, but you have no idea what you're talking about. He was referring to the other thread. OWN UP!
  14. I think they all took whichever various way he called for them as an insult, so they beat him up.
  15. My boss has met with him several times in just the two summers I worked for him. He would never say a negative thing about the man, so I'm inclined to believe him. Thank YOU, Jerry.
  16. So, what we're saying is we'll have the highest payroll in baseball history next year?
  17. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 10:48 AM) Look, this topic wouldn't be so offputting to me if the op didn't start the whole thing off by patting himself on the back. 'You guys were SO wrong. But I was right the whole time.' Especially when there's basically NO paper trail to back up that statement. He did make fun of Vinny Castilla. Well, I didn't want Vinny Castilla, and I was wrong on a lot of other things. Topics like this work better if it's more like, 'Boy was I wrong on... [May I suggest Eddie Guardado?] How about you?' I'm not trying to push your buttons or anything...but I think you should just disappear.
  18. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) I haven't seen either, but I had a dream last night that I was in a "saw" situation. Weird and creepy. BTW, I don't feel like watching these movies, but can I get a brief synopsis of the second movie? I want to know spoilers. If you were in a dream about Saw, you might as well just kill yourself because you'll never figure out the killer because it's the most ridiculous ending to a movie I've ever seen. I haven't seen the second, because I refuse to give it a dime after seeing the first like SS2k5, but I can tell you that the first one was f***ing terrible.
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Read this and then the big blue letters in your sig.... I'm an idiot because I think Frank's number will be retired? Yeah, that makes sense.
  20. Ozzie is now a shoe-in with other greats such as Frank and Herbert.
  21. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) Huh? The article states that he followed the Devil Rays in the past few years of his life. Yeah, I don't see what's wrong with that at all. The article seemed to say he was a fan of everything Tampa, including the Devil Rays. I'm sure he was still happy to see the White Sox win it all, and it's still eerie that he died so soon after it, but it doesn't mean the guy was a White Sox fan.
  22. I was visibly upset when I opened this and found that it was the wrong Perry.
  23. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) I said the only guy I would replace him with is Chavez. No one else. Got bashed a lot for that. Now everyone wants in on his bandwagon. I still got the PM's from the original members of Crede's Crew. And Aboz, you threatened to ban me if I didn't take you off of Crede's Crew earlier in the season.
  24. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Hernandez has little to no value, and would really only be a throw in for salary concerns on the White Sox side. Trading Manny for an extremely wild and inconsistent lefty, and an average centerfielder at best when the Mets offer that is on the table is twice as good makes absolutely no sense. Cameron is arguably the best defensive centerfielder in the game and an on-base percentage guy, and Milledge has a darn good future in store for him. Rowand, Marte, and Hernandez won't get it done, not when Omar Minaya is willing to give up an arm and a leg for him. If Manny would only dh, what about bringing in Thome who the Phillies would give away for nothing and pay two-thirds of his contract.. I'm just throwing out there what this guy said, and he seems like he usually knows what he's talking about when it comes to the Red Sox. His knowledge outside of Boston is pretty thin, though, so that may be the reason he likes the package. I could only hope that Epstein thought like this guy.
