  1. I think we can get more for the winner of game 3 of the World Series
  2. I think I can honestly say that absolutely everyone on the roster contributed so far.
  3. I liked the emotion that Everett showed in sticking up for his teammate. That guy is one crazy bastard, and you gotta love that about him.
  4. I couldn't tell you the sum of 2 and 2 right now because I'm so tired and excited at the same time...let alone choose one of these.
  5. I can't believe all of these players stepping up at different times and being the heroes. I NEED A PICTURE OF BLUM WITH HIS HAIR ALL f***ED UP AFTER THE HOMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The heroes were Blum, Marte, and Widger today. I think I was the only person awake in Massachusetts when this happened, and I was jumping around like a little girl. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I can't believe this is all happening. There's still some more work to do, though!
  7. They really, REALLY don't deserve to win this one. This whole game pisses me off.
  8. I used to post there, and that guy was as classy and nice as they come. This really makes me sad. Rest in peace, Colsat.
  9. Armory Park? I think they mean Armor.
  10. I never show any kind of emotion or life during a game unless something huge happens. When PK hit that GS, all I shouted was "YES!" louder than I ever have. When Jenks gave up the lead, I stood up and stomped so hard on the end table that my foot still aches and screamed "f***!" louder than ever. When Pods hit the homer, I don't even remember what I did. I asked one of my friends 10 minutes later and he said I stood up, said "Oh my God" and "Yes" very lowly and calmly walked out of the room. I didn't even know what to do.
  11. What about Matsui? He's a lefty bat with some pop, can fit in nicely with Iguchi (hopefully), and he can DH/LF with Pods playing the other spot.
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) Went and saw DOOM last night. People on here and at work told me it was going to suck. They were wrong. It kicked ass!!! For what it was, Doom was a great movie. You don't go to a movie based on a game expecting it to be life-altering. You go to see some good action, gore, etc. Doom really delivered (pun intended) on that. It didn't drag on and it wasn't boring. I'd definitely watch it again for a cheap thrill. I won't buy it, but I have friends that will
  13. This is great for PK. With all of these births recently, I hope it's a load off of all of their minds while they play the last series of the year. Maybe it'll keep them loose...
  14. QUOTE(Beetle @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) It's hard not to go with Seinfeld on this one. Married...With Children definitely has a special place in my soul. The earlier seasons were awesome. I hate Friends with a passion. Someone mentioned the original BBC Whose Line Is It Anyway? -- that's one of my favorite comedy series... ever. But, does it count as a sitcom? Since it's not scripted, I mean... And speaking of Jon Lovitz -- what about his animated show The Critic? I thought that was very funny. I loved that show for some reason. It only lasted like a season or two.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) Great article, but I wish I had the 5 min back I spent reading the next post. I ripped PK apart in the first half of the season, but I'd say it was pretty justified. He was truly awful and was clearly selfishly swinging for homers all of the time. Besides that, I also said I wouldn't mind re-signing him had we reached or won the WS. Well, we got there, so now we have more money to put into him.
  16. I understand if they're not putting in cartoons, but what self-respecting men voted in Friends?
  17. The most surprising part of that game for me was when they showed the time for game 1 of the series and they had the White Sox symbol on the right side. All I could think was, "Wow, Sox are in the series." That homer by Pujols...it seemed secondary.
  18. Pettitte's reaction was great when you can read his lips saying, "Oh my God."
  19. I was watching this and kind of rooting for the Cards, but I'm torn either way. After thinking about this for a day, I think the best possible scenario would be if the series went 7 games and the Astros just barely stumble into the series. I don't think we want to face a rolling Cardinals team, but we also don't want to face those big 3 for Houston. So, we just have to hope for the best.
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) I saw an extended trailer for this and I was surprised as to how good it looks. I don't think I would go as far as saying something I hadn't seen shouldn't have been made. Ha, I don't think you've seen my views on the first one. They should just get all the copies of the first one, burn them, and forget it ever existed...let alone make a sequel
  21. Godfather 3, if that counts Scream sequels The Mask II (ha, there's no way that can be good) Saw II
  22. If everyone thinks it's going to be a low-scoring series, then it will probably be a high-scoring series That's how it works sometimes. One thing that might be in our favor is that guys like Ozzie, AJP, Hermanson, etc. might know a thing or two about the Astros or Cardinals.
