  1. He took the most expensive AAV deal he could find.
  2. Do family perks/extras end up in the actual salary figure?

  4. Doesn't anyone have any new sauces?? I'm hungry!
  5. You're welcome. ?
  6. Yeesh. MLB Radio still reporting the 7/175 deal, with a "but Lazano states that it's not accurate" Way to go MLB, keep it up
  7. Can't say I expected to find a For King & Country music video up in here, but I'll take it! ?
  8. That article does not address the competitive balance tax, and the impact that it has, and it has a pretty big impact. There is a point at which throwing crazy/stupid money at one player does not make good business sense. I'm not saying that the 7/175 offer is to that point, but the author of the article is just not being realistic. Unless you are going to somehow demand that all teams have a 200+million payroll, there are going to be market corrections.
  9. It's been said that Machado doesn't want to be on the left coast. Didn't like it there
  10. Not sure. He also tweeted this yesterday, so he seems to have an imagination Note... Twitter link embedding doesn't like me
  11. Then the league had better figure out how to re-balance the luxury tax
  12. When the sub $200m dollar figure was mentioned, was 7 years also mentioned? If not, possible that the sub $200 figure was at a particular opt-out point, not the whole possible year and dollar count
  13. It makes great sense that JR is in the lead. Much easier to hammer out specifics without having to call the boss with every little thing that wouldn't necessarily be an automatic yes. He did PK's last deal, if I recall, and also most of Frank's, including the 5 year mutual option contract that was somewhat unique. He's a smart guy
  14. 70 years? It was printed somewhere between 2000-2015 in BTTTF time-line
  15. Especially all college football games, apparently
  16. I had meant we could have news that harpchado had signed elsewhere, but yeah I had mentally blocked Luis Terrero from memory....
  17. Could be worse...
  18. It's still Monday... Somewhere. ?
  19. Anybody called 350 pages before this is done? ?
  20. If he was shut down after the milb season, or at most on a off season throwing schedule, it's likely it wouldn't have happened. Would it have happened later? Maybe but then we wouldn't have lost a year of control.
  21. Until the sox actually sign a big free agent, this feeling is pretty universal in the writers and analysts discussions
  22. Given what happened to Kopech, not sure if that's a good idea
  23. 4. What is Gamora? You can't leave out the punchline...
  24. Look at the page count again... ?
