It was probably nothing, but on MJH today, carmen d. Was saying something about having a sox'nugget' possibly relating to sox fest. One of the other guys said he had the same one... But they didn't say what it was. Any ideas what the nugget might be?

i do not think that contractually, comcast can move it to the sports tier, that's one of the reasons they have a minority stake in the network. i thought it was indeed neat to watch larsen's perfect game from the 56 series. was also neat to see the interview snippets with larsen and yogi. have missed the 2005 world series movie so far... hope it comes up again soon.

i also read his quote about not worrying about the money to mean that if they can sign get + type player, they'll spend the money it takes to get it done.

the people that suspect we could have gotten more for Jon may forget that if his shoulder 'knot' doesnt straighten out, he could be worse off, and not worth as much at the trade deadline, if he doesnt have a good 1st half.

i find it so funny that so many of you are bashing hall, after all of the hoopla and excitement after signing him last year.

i'd more assume rowand to continue with a good year this year, rather than jones returning to his usual form after last year. that being the case, i wouldnt have liked the sox to give him that contract. 2 years and he walks, and we are no better off in the farm to replace him in 2 years. at least with rowand, and a 4/5 yr deal, we can develop a real replacement for him, not owens/anderson/etc (not sweeny in CF)

if the sox pulled the 4 year deal off the table, and replaced with a 3 year, rowand will walk from that. that's a ludicrous thing to do. Jones got a 2 year deal to prove himself after a down year. rowand didnt have that same down year.
