December 5, 200817 yr For anyone who cares, I got some info on this... For Comcast, it starts as a free preview on Channel 410 on 18 Dec... Its goes pay on Jan 1st... Its a part of the digital classics package...
December 5, 200817 yr Is the MLB network going to have any blackout rights like the NFL does? How would this effect owners of the MLB extra innings package?
December 5, 200817 yr I bet the first "classic" game they show is the last game at Yankee Stadium. Should be an awesome channel. Curious if Dish Network will get it since they don't carry Extra Innings yet.
December 5, 200817 yr Just show old classic games. All I ask for is a little mid 90's Mariners action, I don't think that's too much to ask. There's been no outlet for classic baseball games, ESPN Classic is probably the most worthless channel on TV unless of course you like watching the same poker matches and bowling tournaments over and over.
December 5, 200817 yr I too hope they play classic games. I'd love to see some no-hitters of the past.
December 5, 200817 yr I loved when ESPN classic showed the Roger Clemens 20k game. Hopefully Comcast gets this channel in HD ASAP. I love NBATV, but Comcast still doesn't support it in HD.
December 8, 200817 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 12:27 PM) I loved when ESPN classic showed the Roger Clemens 20k game. Hopefully Comcast gets this channel in HD ASAP. I love NBATV, but Comcast still doesn't support it in HD. MojoHd used to always pickup the NBA HD games but Mojo dissapeared from my guide a while back and my cable outlet has yet to add in NBAHD, which sucks.
December 17, 200817 yr QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) I too hope they play classic games. I'd love to see some no-hitters of the past. MLB Network will launch on January 1, 2009 at 6:00pm EST with the debut episode of Hot Stove, followed by the original broadcast of Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series More info about the MLB Network. As long as this doesn't become all about the Yanks and Sawks, I think I'm going to love this channel. MLB Network programing and info
December 17, 200817 yr MLB Network will be available on major systems including Comcast, Cox, Direct TV, Time Warner, Charter, Cablevision and Verizon FiOS Go f*ck yourself, Dish Network.
December 17, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 02:03 PM) Directv channel? I searched the internets and could not find that answer. I found predictions that it will be in the low 200's by the NFL network.
December 17, 200817 yr It's on the air on Comcast right now. Of course, they've got a show on about the Red Sox and Yankees.
December 17, 200817 yr QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 02:24 PM) It's on the air on Comcast right now. Of course, they've got a show on about the Red Sox and Yankees. Is there an HD version available?
December 18, 200817 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) Is there an HD version available? Not as of yet.
December 18, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) Directv channel? 213 HD and SD, but won't be active until Jan. 1st. http://directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPa...ssetId=P4670018
December 18, 200817 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 01:42 PM) Go f*ck yourself, Dish Network. I second that. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 01:51 PM) OH YIPPEEEEEEE, the return of the "great one" Harold Reynolds If you're being sarcastic, I don't understand why. He was the best they had on BBTN, so i'd love to see more HR on TV.
December 19, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 19, 2008 -> 08:29 AM) This sounds straight. I wish there was a minor league baseball network. I agree 100%. There's gotta be a decent market for that too. I'd love to watch these kids play in semi-professional quality.
