  1. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) Can you or can you not see david f***ing cone? he won 16. Santana will not win 16. Also that was a strike year. So you would have to assume he would've won about 20 or 21 games.
  2. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Stfu, son. Those were closers.
  3. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) ... or not. do you hw son.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) ... or not. yes. In the AL at least.
  5. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) I think Santana will break that barrier. If he doesn't win, Bart will. that same reason was why Peavy didn't win it last year even though he led the Baseball with the best ERA. He only won 15 games last year.

  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) Santana should be the Cy Young. wehether he should or not it won't matter because he doesn't have 17 or more wins and a Starting Pitcher has never won the Cy Young with less than 17 wins. He will be in the same boat as Contreras. Both won't contend because of the lack of run-support.
  8. Colon's stats aren't that great with the exception of wins. In fact he hasn't even had a great 2nd half. He has gotten a ton of run support. His ERA is 3.48 which is high for a guy contending for the Cy Young. In fact a lot of Buehrle's stats are better. I think this next start for Buehrle will decide the outcome of this thing. This race is still up for grabs.
  9. we do play on Wednesday. I got the tickets today in the mail. Boy do they look beautiful.
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) I could. I don't want to do it anytime soon though. Remind me sometime in the offseason. k cool.

  16. QUOTE(Bridgeport Sox @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Any chance someone can make a division champs wallpaper? Just a thought, Thanks i will be on it like Michael Jackson is on little boys. I already have some good ideas.
  17. I want to see them win the wild card to stick it to all the national media who say this is a bad division. I won't root for the Indians this weekend but today im rooting for them.
  18. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) er.. the indians and sox would be tied for the WC, and a playoff game would be played to decide who gets the division title and who gets the wild card (might be wrong) i think you are.
  19. QUOTE(RX Bandits @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) Most Valuable Player: Podsednik. I know he doesnt hit but look how we played when he was injured. Most Vauable Pitcher: Buehrle. Hasn't pitched well as of late but was MONEY at first half. Most Improved Player: Jon Garland- no contest. Could maybe make a case for Contreras (14 wins is not too bad for a 5th starter) Most Pleasant Surprise: Cotts/Dye/A.J./Hermanson it's too hard to pick Biggest Disappointment: Aaron Rowand- I think he has 13 homeruns this year. I really thought this would be his breakout year. Close second is Shingo 15 wins now.
  20. QUOTE(TLAK @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) You're thinking football, pal. There are no tie breakers in baseball. If they finish with the same record they play off, 1 game. There is a coin flip for home field, and Sox already lost it, so it would be in the Jake. nope it happened in 01 with Houston and St. Louis. St.Louis won the Central because of their head-to-head advantage and Houston won the WC.
  21. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:14 PM)but if the indians have the WC lead than they would win the wild card because the Sox have won the division series.
  22. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) I dont know the tiebreaker rules and such, but isnt there a head to head to settle it? Or is that only for the WC? im assuming that because Boston and New York play head-to-head the last 3 and are both flawed teams Cleveland will win the wild card.
  23. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) Someone might want to drop Jeff Brantley a note. why?
