QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) They dont try in the first half. they probably gave up that punt return for a TD because they have only punted 4 times this season coming into this game. -
QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) I would like to join a firm at first to get my feet wet, but at some point I would like to branch out on my own well again congrats. Thats a huge thing.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) Thank you very much. I'm not 100% sure, I did family law in school, but wasn't thrilled with that, so the world is my oyster!! are you gonna join a firm or will you be independent.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Sorry mods, I know there's a thread for updates like this, so please feel free to merge, but I passed the IL Bar Exam!!!!! Just wanted to post here because the whole process sucks, and Soxtalk was a great oasis many times I was stressing heavily... congrats man. Now you can be my lawyer the next time im accused of murder. Im just joking so don't take that part seriously. My dad is a mediator so i know a bit about law from him. What specific kind of law are you gonna practice?

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 06:03 PM)ok they did. And considering Sparty had the best offense in the nation besides USC IMHO holding them to 31 points is damn good. Look MSU's defense sucked. They have no pass defense so Michigan was pretty much able to pass the ball whenever they wanted to. They also don't have much of a run defense and that's not good against Mike Hart.

QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) It's a different team...John L has them ready...can you say blow out for the Spartans! I guess things turned out differently than you thought huh? What did you just think that Sparty was gonna go in there and blow them out?

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) LoL, got home after the game and saw this. Figured it was Josh acting immature about the win, but he was really counting his chickens before they hatched. i really thought it was smart of them to run the ball down the field on their final drive before overtime. I think they were thinking that just in case Rivas(who has been great) misses the field goal than Sparty will have a tough time scoring with so little on the clock. They really shot themselves in the foot though with that illegal formation penalty. -
21-7 Big Blue. Michigan is scoring at will against this crappy MSU defense.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) People here in Texas have trouble with all those "shalls" and "shall nots" in the Ten Commandments. Folks here just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the "King James" into "King Ranch" language: The Cowboy's Ten Commandments (posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Fairlie, Texas) (1) Just one God. (2) Honor yer Ma & Pa. (3) No tellin' tales or gossipin'. (4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin'. (5) Put nothin' before God. (6) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal. (7) No killin.' (8) Watch yer mouth. (9) Don't take what ain't yers. (10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff. Y'all have a good day. I got to show my rabbi this. He is a big Indians fan by the way. Grew up in Youngstown. :headshake

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) Speaking of which, Willie only has 2 errors this year. was it 2. Oh yeah for some reason the play i was thinking of wasn't ruled an error. It was when he just misplayed a ball however he didn't touch it. He sort of bucknered it.
-
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) Willie's D > Gload's D i wouldn't be so sure about that. Remember that game in KC where he made 3 errors in one inning i think.
-
QUOTE(VAfan @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) White Sox Josh. You wouldn't take Willie Harris? He may turn out to be the most valuable bench player we have. I'm glad the last two posters agree that Marte should be left behind. I think I wouldn't mind seeing him go just so I didn't have to see him come into a ballgame. Though it is really too bad with him. The guy has electric stuff. He just can't control it. I was going back and forth with that one. I really think you could take either. I just think that Gload has a little more pop from the left side though. He also is smooth in the field which would make him a great defensive replacment. Remember opening day.

But i think they should think about it for a couple of reasons. One is you always want to have a guy on your bench who has some pop. We all know he has power. Maybe instead of Perez Borchard could take his place. Also he looks like a totally new hitter. He has a new aproach up there. He also seems much more relaxed and he really showed me something with that double he had in the 9th. He had 2 K's and instead of being down on himself like he would've been last year he went up and hit a double. Also if he has a HR or 2 off the bench what better way than to boost his trade value.

We have won inspite of Ozzie this year. Im sorry but it had to be said. He doesn't know how to manage a pitching staff. Marte should never of been out there. -
ozzie is making a great move tonight
White Sox Josh replied to bighurt2719's topic in Pale Hose Talk
yeah and he made a great move by leaving marte out there for the ninth. -

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) You also should have originally said AL only, which would exclude Valenzuela, Marshall and Sutcliffe. Wasn't sutcliffe traded in the middle of the year. I think he went 20-6 the whole year. Valenzuela also pitched in a strike year. -
I'm really dissapointed with the shirts. I thought they would be a lot better. I will probably buy a hat.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) I sure as hell wouldn't. Santana has been better for longer this season. Contreras has been great since the beginning of August, Johan has been great for more than just this year and has been consistant since July 1st. i wouldn't either. Contreras still doesn't have that pinpoint control that Santana does. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) This is what you said, YOU WERE WRONG, just admit it and move on. ok however i knew that Cone won the Cy Young. I also knew it was a short season. So i didn't count it. I should've counted it. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) You never mentioned that strike seasons were not included. i knew about cone. However if you average his stats over 35 games instead of 23 he would've gone 22-8. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) So all in all... you were wrong. See ya. no because it was a strike season. I meant full season. WTF is your problem anyways? Why do you have to personally attack me.
