QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) Bad move. i agree it's not his fault that the Orioles have no starting pitching.

Hang a star on that play. Great play by Hinske.

Widger just saved a run.

what is Joe Morgan's problem??

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) 1. Rogers Hornsby 2. Nap Lajoie 3. Jackie Robinson 4. Charlie Gehringer 5. Roberto Alomar 6. Eddie Collins 7. Bobby Doerr 8. Joe Morgan 9. Ryne Sandberg 10. Bill Mazeroski IMHO RObinson was the best 2B of all time. His numbers were very good and had baseball allowed African Americans earlier he would would've been a 300-300 guy. He had very good and he didn't start playing when he was in his prime. -

Bruce is on saying that it wasn't as close and that Griffey was asked if he would go to the Sox and he said that he loves the Sox however he doesn't want to go their because they train in Arizona and he wants to be with a team that trains in Orlando.

QUOTE(jamslam @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) Didn't see anyone blaming umps, mostly men in scoring position - no outs and stranding them w/o getting a ball out of infield this guy didQUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) The umps what can i say we would have won 3-1 if it wasent for them and also some people who called into the postgame show blamed it on the umps. Dolgin said something very stupid on monday about how the umps don't show the sox respect. Well 2 umps acting stupid doesn't mean that every ump hates the Sox.
-
whoever blames the umps here are idiots.
-
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) The umps what can i say we would have won 3-1 if it wasent for them please stop blamming the umps. If the offense would've actually hit they would've won. Come on. The umps didn't strand 8 RISP.
-
sorry but you can't blame this one on El Duque. Maybe if the Sox offense would've gotten their heads out of their collective asses.

QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 09:55 PM) this sucks hardcore how do you think we felt last year around this time.

Would you vote Palmeiro into the HoF?
White Sox Josh replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in The Diamond Club
If Palmeiro is inducted (he should) than Fred McGriff deserves to be in. -
For everybody who says Jim Hendry is a Great GM they don't look at how bad some of his Free Agent signings have turned out to be: Todd Hollandsworth has sucked this year, He didn't get any bullpen help this off-season, and the biggest mistake he ever made was giving Kerry Wood a long-term deal in which wood will average almost $11 Million in. How is that turned out for him? Not only that but he gave Wood a complete No-Trade clause. Also he got robbed in the Juan Cruz to Atlanta deal for Andy Pratt. Pratt has been a complete bust while Cruz was a huge part of Atlanta's Bullpen last year. Also all of his big trades like the ones with Pittsburgh came when their was either a financial issue or w/ nomar when he had an attitude issue in Boston. He is an OK GM however i'm sick and tired of everyone kissing his ass in this town.

QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) I liked Equilibrium. Cool effects and fight scenes. i wanna see it. It looks like a take off a little bit on Fahrenheit 451.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) Where are you getting these trade ideas? i don't have XBOX! I have PS2.
-
Also Jamie Walker from the Tigers is a possible name. He can get lefties out. The only problem is that the Tigers might not want to trade in the division.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Yeah because teams usually look to unload their good bullpen arms. Maybe we can get Andy Sisco!!!!!!11111 :rolly he isn't that young. He is in his 30's i believe.
-
Here is an interesting name and i'm not sure if the Orioles would put him on waivers or not but Tim Byrdak. His ERA is in the 2's and leftys are hitting .160 off of him. Plus he is a local product.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) Kline??? i think that he is probably past his prime. The wear and tear on his arm i pretty evident.
-
I really think the Sox need another lefty reliever. Marte is overrated and he cannot get leftys out.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) Josh look beyond this year. He has had a good BA and good OBP. He has good speed. He isnt a power bat at all. But fits in our new speed and ozzieball philosophy. Remember Borchard has been bad for years, is going to be gone after this year, and was released by the Mazatlan Deer in the Mexican Winter league. If you can get anything for Borchard now, use it. but they have Crede. Crede is much better than Burroughs.
-
Ok he doesn't suck however is he really an upgrade over Crede? I really don't think he is.

QUOTE(soxfan420 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 02:29 AM) You da man i thought you should have been in the pen all year. he gave up a ton of HR last year.

QUOTE(wsox08 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 02:41 AM) I miss Shingo. hopefully if nobody picks him up he would be willing to accept a Minor League Deal again. I'm sure they would be willing to offer him that if he doesn't get an offer in the next week or so.
