Wow, this thread is hilarious Anyways, guys, what u are asking Hawk and other people to do is human nature. When umps constantly make bad calls that cost us runs and sometimes wins, then how do u expect soemone not to complain? I am one of those people, in all honesty. If an ump makes a bad call that costs us, of course I'm gonna complain. I'm at least gonna be a little ticked off, and I can't see how any Sox fan wouldn't be.

After watching the game yesterday and seeing the first 5 game losing streak of the season, and now heading into a series with the Yanks, I have to say, that for one, I don't think the divivsion will be a problem. But we still have some hard ball to play. But I think we are trying to hard. As Ozzie said, don't panic; they should be enjoying this period of time, and they aren't. Watchign how frustrated they were with themselves yesterday, I think they have to not try so hard. They need to let it flow, and get in a more positive frame of mind. They need to cinch it up and hunker down. So Hopefully this day off will do them some good.

I am not going to be ebmarrased to say it. Call me superstitious, but I think Timo is a bad luck charm. or maybe he just sucks. He alsmost always sucsk, and the games where he reaally comes trhough and does a good job, we still lose.

I believe it was either yesterday or 2 games ago, Hawk and DJ got an email asking about who is the team captain. Hawk said Paulie would be. Now I always can put aside my difference of attitude and opinion with a player becuase I'm a loyal Sox fan. But given Konerko's past, I can't really see him as the "captain." IMO Buehrle would be the perfect fit for that. What is everyone else's take on this?

Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. Mine is that hawk was absoultely right about Griffey. Where WOULD he play? IMO 35 isn't too old to play in the field, but our outfielders are doing fine and we already have backup outfielders. Maybe if we got rid of Timo........ And TheDybber, I whole heartedly agree with you.

Well as I said, it would be a bit sad to see them lose teh best win record, especially seeing as teh game yesterday was called.
