I hate to complain, but Getz takes over leadoff, so WHY is Wise still in CF? Call me a whiner, but this move seems MORE idiotic to me since Wise seemed to be only leading off because of some imaginary hitting abilities he was projected to have. BA can't hit much either, but plays a GG caliber CF. Call me selfish, but I'm even MORE pissed off now...

Agreed. Steve Stone is such a knowledgeable baseball man. Listening to his deep analysis and insight every day is an absolute joy as a baseball fan. Definitely one of the greatest acquisitions ever made by the White Sox organization.

I'm not so sure Ozzie is that sensible. The fact Wise is where he's at in the first place I think is proof enough of that.

Sure, but as I said that isn't a defensive excuse. That doesn't make me feel any better. Sure, he makes great moves here and there as any manager does, ut in general his in-game managing is atrocious.

Yeah, why be a good manager when you can be lucky? Ozzie has made some of the dumbest moves I've ever seen watching baseball. usually the (poor) excuse made for him is that many other managers in the league are as bad, if not worse. I really need to start watching more teams because I can't imagine many managers being much worse in-game (not that that's an excuse of ANY kind, anyway).

I really am amused by people who still think Ozzie is a good manager.

If you're not gay then it simply doesn't concern you, so I don't see why it is such big deal. I think religion is the biggest thing, but no one has to abide by someone else's beliefs. I don't think homosexuality is right but I fully support gay marriage. Let the people be happy for Chrissakes. There's just no logical reason not to.

You're kidding, right? We don't have much quality defense at all already, and you're willing to sacrifice a GG caliber CF for another bad hitter (AND defender)? Yeah, I don't know what "tools" you are referring to, seriously. Numerous people have already dropped the stats. The guy hasn't shown me any of these "tools."

That's totally been my line of thinking throughout this offseason.

I'm having a hard time looking back at everyone who always says, "Figgins? NAH, not good enough. Crisp? NAH, not good enough," etc. yet here we are with Dewayne f***in' Wise as our leadoff hitter. It really makes me laugh out loud.

That's ok. I know what you mean. That bit about a good leadoff hitter hadn't ever even occurred to me until you mentioned it, and I had to laugh because you're right.

As far as I'm concerned this season is going to be an absolute clusterf*** regardless. And I'm one of the most optimistic posters on this entire board.
