This may sound like a daft question to all you long time baseball fans but as I'm still coming to terms with the intricasies of the game I hope someone can help.
In a recent newspaper article, A.J. Pierzynski was talking about how Buerhle had "constantly jammed the Twins with his cut fastball." He went on to say how this "opened up the outside corner later."
My question is, what did he mean by this and why is it a good thing? I know what the outside corner is but how does a cut fastball open up the outside corner?
I am just getting the logo on MLB.com, no pictures. How is it looking, any chance of any play today? The day games are the only real chance I get to see a live game.
4.30 in the a.m. watching in England, fighting heavy eyes and yes I missed it! The team was mobbing Crede before I realised what had happened. But I did follow with a loud whoop that risked wakeing the house up, followed by a victory lap of thr living room.

Tom Delay said there is no more fat in the budget left to cut
We tend to prefere Goose fat for cooking over here. Although I am told that a brace of Canaries make an interesting appetiser if you can't get hold of fresh Robins.

Just wanted to let you know...everytime I walk into my British Literature class, I think to myself...."Hmmm, British.....DEPLODERER!" Sad, really.
What are you studying?
I'm thinking of changing my broadband provider soon. The one I use has a limit on the download amount before it charges you extra. I have had AOL before, when I was on dial up and had a much slower PC. I found it used a whole lot of processing power and caused the PC to crash a lot.
I have heard good things and bad re AOL, (I'm not all that concerned with the percieved world domination/big brother aspects of AOL), does anyone here have any thoughts?
