QUOTE(PartyForFree @ Sep 24, 2006 -> 05:59 PM) Email your Party Poker account name, email address, mailing address and phone number to [email protected] and we'll manually approve your account. Please reference your screen name at Soxtalk as well. We've had to limit it to North America due to a lot of fraud internationally. While I watch Coronation Street and Most Haunted regularly, I'm not familiar with "bring and buy" sales...care to elaborate? Will do. Bring and buy..........charity thing, bring stuff to sell and buy other stuff, all proceeds to some charity.

QUOTE(PartyForFree @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) You didn't complete the sign-up process on our site. Click the link below and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! That felt good. OK, I can promise you that I DID follow your instructions and link! You however omitted to mention that this offer is only applicable to those good people who live in the USA or Canada. Unfortunately everybody else in the whole wide world seem to be classed as second rate citizens and are not able to take advantage of your wonderful scheme. This is the Internet you know, not a local bring and buy sale.

QUOTE(PartyForFree @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 02:13 AM) PM or post your Party Poker account names and email addresses and I'll double-check. There's been quite a few sign-ups from Soxtalk. My account name is Deploderer, I'm at work so can't see if my money's arrived at the moment.

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 12:26 AM) I signed up, can you verify that my information was gathered? It seemed like a big pain in the ass, and I'd like to know I got everything right so that I didn't waste my time. Ditto ^^^^^^^^^

I don't know if any of you are aware of this site. Nugs But it's a site that seems to be a portal for many bands who sell recordings of all their live shows. This link takes you to there "Stash" of free-to-download stuff. these are mainly jam type bands along the lines of Phish, Dave Matthews and The Gratefull dead , bands who promote audience taping.

Who says global warming is not having any effect on the weather? driving through Leeds yesterday I drove into the worst rainstorm I had ever seen. It wasn't until I got home and saw the local news that I realised how close I had come to hitting this. I realise this will be a bit run of the mill to some of you guys, but you need to realise that we have not had anything along theae lines in living memory.

Heads, why you got a picture of Liverpool and Leeds Welsh leg end Ian Rush in your Avi?

I have a serious rush of deja vu going on. While I did enjoy my deep dish while in Chicago, De Mario's ( in Leeds) paper thin pepperoni with added anchovies is a taste of heaven.

Mariotti was seen wandering aroubd West 35th Street today carrying 2 dozen rabbits feet, a Walgreens bag stuffed with Turkey wish bones and a large birthday cake, smothered with candles balanced on his fat head. he was reported to have been asking passers by for directions to the bullpen.

QUOTE(Damen @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 11:37 AM) The picture of Joe's is at the SW corner of Grand & Rush, looking North on Rush. The picture with the green gothic peak is the main branch of the Chicago Public Library (which I believe is still the largest public library in the world, or at least was when it was completed in the early 90's). ty

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) Hey DePlod, do you still have those photos in full size, high res? I have been looking for a few good photos of Chicago in high res that I can have made into black & white posters to frame. If you have them, would you consider allowing me to use them for a little personal art? Yes, no problem, I still have the origionals. I worked on the origionals at around 12 inch by 8 inch at about 300 pixels per inch. These I reduced and posted. what do you mean by high res?

OK, so my Internet is now working again. Here are some pictures from my recent visit to Chicago. I tried really hard not to follow the tourist trail and aside from a couple of exceptions I think I succeeded. John Hancock Centre. Views from John Hancock Centre. Downtown Chicago. If anyone knows the street name, please let me know. Again I'm not sure which building this is. I think it is some form of bank, could anyone help me out? Some Art works. Picasso. Flamingo. Cloud Gate ( by a Brit no less!)

Hi Fellas What a fantastic city Chicago is. Everything, the buildings, shops, food, parks and especialy the people. After the trouble we had getting there, all the delays and yes every bit of our luggage was lost in flight, we were questioning wether or not it was a good idea to detour through Chicago on the way to Virginia just to take in a game. Well, from our first breakfast at the Palmer House ( thanks Texsox, ithe hotel was outstanding.) that was comp'ed to us by the restaurant manager because " you guys looked a bit worn out, I'd heard about your troubles and I wanted to get your vacation off on the right foot", everything went perfect. Allthough my daughter had hoped the luggage would never turn up, so she could get a whole new wordrobe, it arrived the following day. The deep pan pizza met a mixed reception, the girls are not fans but my son and I liked it, Millers Pub realy does serve the best pizza's and the Italian beef sandwich I had at the game (from the place by the right fowl pole, thanks to who ever suggested it) was spot on. The game, well it couldn't have been bettered. A realy big thank you to Gregg for swapping my upper deck tickets with some of his lower deck ones, being a tour guide and generaly being a top class guy. The atmosphere far outstripped my expectations and we got to see a win! So I have a lifetime record of 1-0. The architecture was fabulous, we spent some time in the Millenium Park and the art gallery. Unlike other major cities we have visited everyone from shop assistants to taxi drivers and people we met on the street were so helpful and justly proud of their city. Chicago has all the best parts of New York, but it is far more compact and doesn't have the "attitude". We will be back. I have a some pictures to post later. When I got home I found my modem had blown up and am on my Dads at the moment so I won't be able to post all that often for the next couple of weeks. Once again thanks to Gregg and all that passed on suggestions, we realy enjoyed our time in Chicago. Simon.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 06:23 AM) I've got a beautiful ticker thing from Felix. Now, I'd like a sig featuring our two latest top draft picks in Lance Broadway and Kyle McCulloch. Anyone up to it? If you can find me any decent pics, I'll have a go.
